Hotel Focus SFO, South San Francisco CA

I’m so grateful for my night at Hotel Focus SFO on my way to Japan from Costa Rica. I arrived really late and the staff was kind and helpful. This is a very convenient hotel. Sometimes you don’t need nor want all the stars.

Really basic hotel. Super old. Breakfast 'included' but served in a plastic bag (orange with chocolate bar). Not that expensive but already way too much for what it is.
But clean, close to the airport and quiet. Service great, kind people.

They inform that they are serving Breakfast, but it was just “snack”. The free shuttle between airport and hotel was terrible. I waited over 50min at SFO. Because they are serving the shuttle service only one per hour.
On the other hand, hotel rate is reasonable and room is clean even though facility is old.
If you expect just as simple stay and have enough time. I would recommend this hotel, but if you can pay just USD50-60 for another hotel, you can save your time with more frequent shuttle service and hot breakfast.

Friendly staff! Room was clean and nice for just a nights stay. However, disappointed by the breakfast. It was in a bag that had apples and a danish. Area was a little ghetto and sketchy. Came from out of town so didn’t expect to pay for parking since it was not mentioned on the website. Luckily the parking was only $13 but for a night stay was still kinda inconvenient.

Average air port hotel. Don’t expect more.
Parking lot is under high voltage transmission lines if you don’t mind

Nasty little hotel. Rooms smell. Paint looks old. You can hear noises through the walls. I guess this is what you get for $100 a night. I’ll never stay here again.

This is one of the better options near SFO.

Pros: it’s clean, somewhat modern, staff is friendly, and there’s kind of a breakfast - I didn’t really understand the breakfast situation so I didn’t eat. Also there’s a shuttle to the airport.

Cons: 1. I didn’t sleep well because of how little noise protection the rooms have, footsteps, loud people and barking dogs kept me up all night. 2. They make you use an app called OpenKey, which would be a pro, but it doesn’t work right. The app is a key to let you in the door, give you wifi code, direct access to the front desk, etc. However for whatever reason it randomly disconnects from your door so you have to delete the app and reinstall it, this happened to me 3x during my stay. 3. The shuttle only runs certain times of the day, so I had to go to the airport several hours earlier than I normally would have.

You should note that the shuttle is always running a little late, it’s fine just plan for it.

Ok hotel but said they had a shuttle then told me it was not available when I arrived in SFO - cost me $35 via Uber to get there. I would have booked elsewhere if I knew their hotel shuttle had limited hours.

They lied, said they had shuttle from airport. But they don't and when you call they are rude. Crooks

Sketchy elevator, ants in the bathroom and around AC, non-existent breakfast, and the fire alarm (super loud and terrifying sounding) went off at night for some reason and we had to go stand outside in the cold for a while. Incredibly subpar experience.

Small room, average amenities. But, for the price its fine for a night or two. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have an airport shuttle.

Horrible experience. Fire Alarm went off for no reason. Hotel was a total catfish, it does NOT look anything like the pictures. It’s dated and the bathroom is small. The toilets are super short. The room was also nasty.

Do not recommend.

Absolutely horrible! Worst costumer service ever. They mentioned breakfast there is a bag they gave u with banana and jelly bar and thats it! For ride to hotel from airport they only have limited hours that they don’t mention in The website. On way back our flight was at7pm which would be in the time limit that they offer the shuttle but the front dest forgot to call for us and instead of apology he just said “ it was my fault there is nothing i can do u cam wait for another hour for the next shuttle “

There is no room service. Avoid if u gonna stay more than a night and if u have other options take them!
