Hotel Lucent, Menlo Park CA

Very convenient location with 24 hr Safeway next door, Trader Joe's 3 blocks away and less than 10 minutes drive to center of Stanford campus. No frills and smallish rooms, but has everything basic needed, including grab and go breakfast, good free internet, free parking. Shout out to the complimentary coffee machine which makes cafe quality coffee (no fancy drinks).

The room was clean, and the hotels amenities were nice, but our room smelled incredibly foul. It needed a deep clean

This hotel is great. We stay here everytime we have to go to Stanford. It is very clean and nextdoor to the best fish and chips restaurant. My only complaint is that some of the rooms have sliding bathroom doors which is not too private. Also things were closed due to covid (pool, tec room, hot breakfast).

Only 2 rooms wheel chair access? Forgot to mention that on Expedia. At least the room was clean. Carrying my wife up the stairs was awesome

We love this hotel. The location is fantastic, the rooms are big, suite style rooms, and the design of the hotel itself is wonderfully spacious.

Very nice hotel, with a hot tube, breakfast, small gym, and a pool table for when you have nothing to do. Within 10 minute drive to Stanford, Facebook, and many other locations.

This was a really easy and convenient place to stay right off of el camino.the mattresses are the good kind and the reception area doubles as a workspace/bar with spirits on tap.they also have tempting snacks in the room that aren't price gouging if you want to stay in.

Updated motel, but greeat value with reasonable price, amazing rich breakfast, courtyard very beautiful! Highly recommend! Room is ok, but bath renovated.personally its better than big old fasion hotel

This is an updated motel. It's a bit noisy with kids playing outside. Everything else is reasonable and in good condition.

Wow, what a great hotel. Quick check-in, beautiful lobby space and courtyard, comfortable bed, hot showers with great shower hardware, good bathroom amenities, free breakfast, and so easy to get to your room and into your room. Friendly and fantastic staff, too!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel when traveling for business. I arrived a little after midnight to find the office locked, with no concierge to be found. I was left standing on the street after repeatedly calling the front desk. Fortunately another person staying at the hotel let me in, and I had to wander around to locate the concierge who was in the kitchen listening to music. He didn’t seem at all concerned.

There are also major safety concerns with this hotel. It’s “motel style” meaning the windows and doors open directly to walkways, and anyone walking by can see in to your room. The doors to the property have a tendency to stay open and the fences are not high. I didn’t feel safe here, particularly with the staff’s complete lack of awareness. I would not recommend any solo woman traveler stay here, and I definitely will not again.

The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They made us feel so at home. The courtyard and meeting area is amazing. We wished we stayed at this hotel the whole time because it was so nice. The only little minus were the full sized mattresses in the room with two beds. If it had 2 Queens, this place would be perfect.

Modern-style. Pleasant, bright decor. Efficient. Clean. Quiet room (feels sound proof, given daytime traffic on road). Good air quality. Plenty of linen, pillows and towels. Fast internet. Friendly staff thank you Vanessa and Mitchel). Serious breakfast with Starbucks coffee machine, hot items, fresh fruit and more. The room key cards deactivate easily, and could be more robust. Will stay again.
