Wonderful boutique hotel. Staff we very accomodating. Location perfect. Extras that were awesome were the beach towels and chairs and bikes! Would stay again.

Our first visit to the Beach Village. I saw the wide range of reviews and was slightly apprehensive, but booked anyway for our family gathering of 20. I am so glad we did. The service we experienced was exceptional from pre-planning, to arrival, during stay and check-out. Literally, every single person we encountered was pleasant and committed to providing great service. Each of our 4 suites had great views, the amenities were excellent, and the feeling of being in a small boutique hotel within a big hotel was the best of both worlds. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and apparently due for a complete interior upgrade this year-can't wait to see the results. Needless to say we are planning to return next year as well. Special shout out to Sasha for the extra effort, and manager Sandra for reaching out to arrange early arrival details. Thanks again for an amazing trip!

What a nice boutique hotel. It was just perfect for a couple getaway with a great location. We loved using the bike rentals to pedal around Coronado.

I stayed here once. Food sucked. The management were rude. And they had bugs. Roaches, specifically! Nasty

Very good hotel, perfect location and friendly staff, spacious rooms, breakfast is not a big deal but it does the trick, I would stay again, yes!

I have traditionally stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado but I had a less than pleasurable experience there last year. So I decided to try another. I couldn't be happier that I chose the Marisol great service well equipped rooms quiet close to the beach.

The hotel Marisol Coronado was a revelation in hospitality experiences. Family friendly atmosphere draws you home while the San diego Beach culture whisks you away all fueled by a wonderful continental breakfast

This is a bed and breakfast, not a hotel. If you approach it with this in mind then you are better off.

I paid about $600 per night for a junior suite (I needed to be on Coronado for an event). The lady working on reservation during the day on the phone was nice.

The overall value isn't so great.

My suite had ZERO view, in fact, it was dark as it faced neighboring walls and roof tops.

The Heater/Aircon is fussy. San Diego had a cold snap, heater didn't work. We layered coats, and even the blanket (not sanitized in their closet, hair and even someone's hair band fell out).

About 4: 30am -5AM every morning, a weird door tapping sound happens, they know about this and said it 's pipes. It is strange and goes in for an hour until around 6am. It's awful.

There is NO service. So keep that in mind. Ask to get a loaner bike, the night attendant said, "you mean now? ".

They have a spa bath tub in the room. Dirt came out of the jet holes. Gross.

Towels and sheets were clean though!

Ask the afternoon receptionist basic information, recommendation for restaurants, walking paths, she waves her arms. What? Is that language? Ask how to get to restaurants, she says out on the street. Amazing aloofness and brevity.

Another couple walking out at the same time as us said, "yeah, that one shouldn't be in hospitality".

See other reviews, apparently, that one is also a known issue.

On the day I left, I told them exactly what time I would be leaving. Hint hint, maybe someone to help with luggage? Instead, the morning receptionist decided to do something with the elevator exactly the time I needed it (you have to shut both gate and door in order to call the elevator). After I struggled and brought the luggage down, with her best bright smile, she popped out of the elevator. Is this a joke?

Breakfast, forget about it. Even the coffee and water temperature is luke warm, I got the sense they didn't bother to make it fresh.

Housekeeping? Never was serviced. Be careful, if you use the Do Not Disturb, the housekeeping might get confused when you flip the sign for Make Up My Room. And, telling the receptionist gets you no service. 3 days, no service, garbage piled up, towels all reused and reused.

Why anyone would stay there? Location if you need to be at an event. There are several other B&B (this is NOT a hotel).

Ps. If you need laundry, dry cleaning, good luck

Maybe other rooms are cheaper or nicer, maybe you want to pay for over priced rooms.

The location is the sole attraction. But that's the same as pitching a tent on the beach and saying the location is the best value.

If you are a quiet adult that is not looking for a resort, this is a wonderful option. The staff is friendly and wonderful. Their continental breakfast is just right with fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries. The private patio is a great small outdoor space and the location is perfect between the beach and town. Our 3rd floor king was nicely furnished and the bathrooms are modern though may be considered small. Coffee and tea in the room is always appreciated! We loved the whisper quiet European heating and cooling unit and having a quiet refrigerator in the room. Even the tiny old fashioned elevator was a treat for luggage arrival and departure though we used the stairs the rest of the time. Offering beach towels, chairs and bicycles with no “resort fees” is also a nice touch. The only downside is no on-site parking which I would imagine can be a problem in the summer. We were midweek winter and had no problem street parking near by. We will definitely be returning.

My wife and I just checked up of this wonderful property after our 3rd visit. Wonderful accommodations, friendly staff and located in downtown Coronado. Walking distance to the Hotel Del and all of the great shopping in Coronado. This is a Gem and we are looking forward to our next is it.

We stayed here with our family and it did not disappoint! The location is fantastic, maybe a 4-5 min walk to the beach (walking through a neighborhood too so we felt comfortable even with our baby). The rooms are modern and clean. The only funny thing is that the bathroom more specifically the toilet is right next to the bed and what separates you is a clear glass door, so prepare to be comfy with whoever is in your room haha. They front desk was pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely come back!

I did arrive about 10 minutes early for check-in.no one was at front desk upon arrival or the entire stay really.the lady checking me in was a bit condescending and although the questions she asked were normal.the way in which she asked was not friendly or welcoming. I saw one other staff member the entire time and she did smile and wish me good morning.

The actual hotel itself is lovely and they nailed peaceful beach vibes. The robes, sheets and towels were high quality and literally the best I have used!
The hotel has a vintage elevator that was a little nerve wracking but you have to try it at least once!

Breakfast was an adequate but very simple fare of pastries, fruit and yogurt.coffee and orange juice.

Location is everything! Close to the beach, shops and eating places.you really don't need to rent a car just uber if you wish to explore greater San Diego area.speaking of cars they don't have parking so you'll want to plan for that.

I would stay again and hope for a more welcoming experience at check-in.
