House of Blues San Diego reviews
14Great Venue that's perfect for that Intimate feeling & being 2 the Acts preforming!
IF YOU ARE A GIRL DO NOT COME TO HOUSE OF BLUES! Staff is disgusting! They were so incredibly rude towards me that I had to leave immediately. They are aggressive towards girls and touchy and I felt them glaring me at the entire night. I wish there was a way to give 0 stars. I downloaded Yelp just to write this review.
Great place, with live music. We got to meet the musicians who, apart from playing wonderful blues, were great people. We ordered a classic burger and it was delicious. Highly recommended
Great venue! Super artsy cool decor all around. We had dinner before the concert and that was the greatest decision of the night, as this got us in the venue ahead of the game. (Long line outside) The trick is to consume $25 per person at the restaurant and then you qualify for the fast pass. This will get you in the concert throught a lounge as soon as the doors open. As a result this Got us a great spot infront of the stage. Automatically This gave the concert a personal feel to it.overall a great experience.enjoy
Always overpriced. Mediocre service (but very friendly). Always wish I hadn't bothered seeing a show here.
Went for Kpop night. So much fun, easy to get to. But drinks are expensive just like every other venue.
Poor management (Gina) rude bartender (Corey) disgusting when you're not vip. They don't know how to handle patrons correctly. I ordered two Cadillac margaritas they were disgusting Corey had a terrible attitude clearly overwhelmed for no reason it wasn't super busy from my view. I won't be back
An otherwise good experience ruined by a totally unprofessional and rude security guard who made sure to ruin the experience for everyone else in the room at all times.
My wife and I saw The Drums here in July. This is our favorite band and guaranteed the tallest person in the room would have stood right in front of my wife so Marin was super helpful in guiding me through the process of upgrading to a VIP table. The experience was incredible. Great view, great vibe, great service. Marin even printed a special promo piece personalize for my wife. Show of the year for us!
The corn "riblets" were delicious! Brisket sliders were tender and flavorful. And the service was great! Connor was our server, and he went above and beyond for us. Will definitely be back!
Last night, my friend, our kids and I went to see The Aquabats. Every person we interacted with in the restaurant portion was wonderful, they were all courteous, and helpful. We had a really tasty dinner, the kid's burgers satisfied two very picky eaters. My brisket sliders were flavorful and satisfying. At the show, my daughter became overwhelmed by the volume and the other concert goers excitement so we needed to step away. The bartender, Alaine, (I'm sorry, I know I spelled his name wrong) was by far the best part of our night. It's really easy to see a sad kiddo and walk on by. He checked on us multiple times even though he was clearly very busy. He got us water to help my daughter recover. I have worked in a lot of hospitality jobs, and this gentleman reminded me why what we do is important. Small acts of kindness are what makes the world better, and I hope he knows that his kindness was very appreciated. I plan on coming back for more shows in the future.
We saw a great blues band upstairs and the Aquabats downstairs last night. Good place overall but needs a tech overhaul downstairs. Audio is harsh on the ears and muddy and the TVs showing the camera feed were flickering, banding, etc.constantly. They piped radio/music into the restrooms downstairs during the show which was… odd.
Went to see the Aquabats. It was a great show. Only thing that sucked was that it was extra hot in there. Need to crank up that AC. Everyone was nice.
