House of Dim Sum reviews
17This is the best hidden gem so far. Stop and you will understand why I am as intoxicated as I am now.
I got shumai, shrimp rice noodles, pork and veggie buns, and congee and everything tastes the same. MSG and pepper.
Chow mein didnt use the right kind of noodles and had almost no sauce. Rgg rolls smelled and tastes rancid
One of the best Dim Sum Houses in all of Chinatown.
If you came to Chinatown for good dim sum, you're on the right block. There are good choices dotted along Jackson st. For eat in or take out.
This one has a massive menu so it's typical to tell the waiter how many people & ask that they recommend a good sampler for you.
Be prepared to wait for a seat if it's any of the Chinese holidays or just a sunny weekend.
A few of my personal favorites to get here would be.shrimp dumplings (Ha Gow), Pork dumpling (Siu Mai), BBQ Pork Buns (char siu bao), Sticky Rice with Chicken Wrapped in Lotus Leaf (law mai gai), pot stickers (wotip)
Usually I always look at the reviews and photos on Instagram, but this time attracted by the food displayed in the window we decided to try it. Bad idea.the food had been prepared for who knows how long, in fact it was rubbery and heavy to digest. Honestly, I really don't feel like recommending it.
An excellent restaurant shop, fresh, there is a seating area inside and outside and toilets. Small, the food is delicious and fresh. We took spinach dumpling, and chicken was excellent and hot. Pants eat and go out. Don't get big.
Great dim sum place frequented by lots of locals (always a good sign). Ordered so many things and dug in so fast I didn't get a picture LOL. Everything was good and very fresh.
Food is OK. However, beware that they do not clearly state prices and will end up overcharging you. Not sure if this is because I’m a tourist. Feel like this is a tourist trap.
This place is bustling and we could not resist dining in. We ordered siomai, hargaw, steamed pork ribs, chicken feet, chow mein, and taro puffs. All were delicious, not salty, and not oily at all.
The restaurant has seating outside and inside (2 floors). It’s also clean.
Will definitely come back here.
I would like to have given more stars because they were very nice people working here. But the dim sum was cold and seemed to be made much earlier in the day. It seems it was probably good when first made, but Definitely not by the evening.
The atmosphere and food are worth the money! I had a good time here. I hope they can have more food choices.
I personally like it. I always get good service. I like the food and delicious dishes here. I highly recommend it.
It catches tourists, without prices on the menu or in the restaurant. Dry food (prepared in the morning) and dirty place. There are much better Chinese places in the area.
Food was very good, and the upstairs seating is nice. However, the waitress was very pushy and convinced us that we needed to order more food because the food we had picked was very small. We insisted over and over that we did not want more but eventually she wore us down and we agreed to order more. Then when the order came, it was more than twice as much as we could eat and very expensive. We took some back to the hotel with us, but it was not very good the next day. Do not trust their claims about how small the food is. Also, there are no prices on the menu.
The food is great, fresh, clean, great and friendly. I have been there many times, and I think they are the best restaurant ever.
Good value for money.
The fried noodles and the orange chicken are excellent.
Better to know the name and contents of the dishes before going to the checkout, because the service is very fast.
