House of Shabu Shabu II, Anaheim CA

Been coming here for years but just had one of the worst service. After initial order, waited for approximate 30 minutes sitting waiting to order more food, ordered eggs every time and never got any. I get that they are busy but that if still no excuse for this bad of serving.

Just amazing all around. So many delicious broths to choose from and great selections of meat. Amazing service, frequent friendly check ins to ask if anything else is needed. Staff are superb. The flavors are robust! I just can’t get over this place, and it’s AYCE!

It was our first time here. The quality of the meats are pretty good! We really enjoyed our dinner. Sushi rolls are delicious, too. I think we'll definitely recommend to our family and friends and also come back here again.

I had a good time overall.

I do recommend getting normal seats instead of a booth if you have something you want to set down and/ or are short. It was pretty uncomfortable holding onto my belongings and trying to scoot my chair as close as possible to the bar.

The food was good and really filling. I thought I could go more round but was already struggling on the 2nd round.

I do feel like we were rushed even though we didn't come in near closing time. I made sure to come in 3 hours beforehand and only planned to stay for about an hour. It was also odd despite them not taking away any of our empty plates, even when I organized it all to one place.
Other than that, they were very quick to hand out our order once they got to us, which I appreciate.

I don't know if I would come in at the same time, but I would like to come again, maybe, late afternoon to prevent feeling rushed, as I did enjoy the food.

House of Shabu Shabu ll is my go to place for AYCE Shabu. Sauces and broth are always consistently good. Cuts of meat are flavorful and tasty. I definitely recommend this place!

I absolutely love this spot! The atmosphere inside is fun with great music and super friendly and helpful staff. The all you can eat is a great deal and I love that you can also get extra cooked items like tempura, chicken wings, and edamame. The sushi is also great!

Great hotpot place. They also give you free ice cream after you’re done. Sometimes the service can be slow but it’s not horrific. They also have halal chicken and beef so that’s a huge plus

Great service. Very friendly. Great price for AYCE shabu. The rolls were good. At the end of the meal, green tea ice cream made it an even greater experience. Will be back.

You sit in booths if you end up on the sun-facing right side of the restaurant so there's some privacy but even crying kids can seep through that. Even with the black shades the sun is harsh on your body in addition to the heat from the hot pots. Bring a fan and thank me later. I was lucky I brought my handheld fan. The drawback is coming early to seat sooner or later and waiting but at least you don't have to eat in the scorching sun.

The service from the guy with the mask was good. He quickly got the empty plates out of the way and took our order when we needed more. I think it got so busy though that we ended up asking for our last sides 3 times and it was forgotten for awhile. When we got the sides they were clumped onto one plate so there was less quantity but maybe it was a blessing since we went through 4 plates of meat per person with veggies and noodles.

The booth we were in had issues. When you sat down you slumped into the seat like the cushion was coming apart. Almost fell through the seat.

There are 3 menus but we went with the cheapest at $22 per person. Highly recommend the pork belly and veggie tempura. Glass noodles come with the most expensive menu with the most options. The gyoza looked like it was deep fried.

Don't forget to have some dessert before you take off. There are 2 ice cream choices: Green Tea or Black Cherry. The table got the former and it was the best way to top off the meal.

It was pretty good the first time I came in 2019.
But when I came again recently with high hopes, I was left quite disappointed.
The broth, veggies, meat and noodles were all great. But when it came to sides, the sushi and the calamari were terrible. For the sushis I ordered, the rice was very dry (it felt hard compared to other sushi) and chewy; I also told one of the staff about it, and he seemed dismissive about it.
Then the batter of the calamari was undercooked, still soggy.
Maybe I'll come by again some day.

This place is a is a gem. If you never tried shabu-shabu you must try all the food is savory the Broths are Hardy and flavorful. All the staff here is amazing great service! Go early because it gets busy

Great food. Hands down the best hot pot place I've ever been to, and I've been to more than a few. The food was excellent, the price was more than reasonable compared to other places, the service was very fast, and the broth and sauces were some of the tastiest I've had. The best part is it's all you can eat in 90 minuets, and it comes with ice cream!

We had a reservation at 7: 30pm, but they made us wait more than an hour to get seated. I didn't even have time to eat by that point so I just left. There wasn't even a point to making a reservation.

OMG, AYCE! Did I say it is ALL you can eat? ! I will drive to Anaheim from LA for this one. See you again real soon. Bet!

Tonight I introduced my 5 year old to a slice of heaven here! He's the pickiest eater and he ate now than I've ever see him eat in one sitting. Not only that, the staff was great with him and made him laugh along with me. This seems like it's going to become a staple in my family.
