House of Shaw Cafe & Bakery

The food is really good but they serve water from a hand washing sink which is kind of odd and the staff just looks sooo depressed every time I go in. Super low energy and seem like they don't want to be here. The girl that was behind the counter had a bit of an attitude today but perked up every time she went to go talk to her friends that were eating here. I'll still come back, the staffs attitude is just sort of off putting.

The workers there were a little rude but not badly. It was just minor things like the tone of voices and the way they slowly moved to take and bring orders. It could just be me, but they weren’t as friendly as other places I’ve been. They definitely could use a bit of customer service training.

The Breakfast Crossaint was amazing! Just the right amount of crunchy and softness. I chose the Iced Mocha with Oatmilk, I strongly recommend it! The cashier was very nice and helpful on what to order since it was my first time there.

Had a bug in my drink and the food was extremely burnt to the point the bread was black and the food tasted awful

We've been going for 30+ years. The new owner did a great job totally remodeling the place while it was closed during covid, yet kept the menu and original recipes (like the Mihram Bagel!) of the original owners.
Plus, wonderful, fresh baked goodies! So, it's all the favorites from the past, plus more, in a new, clean, modern environment. Amazing job!

This cafe/ coffee shop was a happenstance find in the heart of Stockton.
I ordered the avocado toast.
It was superb!
Service was excellent with a great professional demeanor by the entire staff.
Will most definitely come back for more excellent treats.
