Huicho’s Mexican Food reviews
15I ordered carnita plate and my friend ordered asada plate and 2 Jamaica. The Jamaica was already spoiled and we returned it and asked for coke. They gave us diet coke. I left it there. Wasn't going to try for a 3rd time. Carnitas were not hot and had no color at all. It was like they were not fried at all. Service was very slow and there were maybe only 3 tables and one waitress.
I ordered by phone. Order was correct. Staff was nice. I ordered Albondigas and a Chile Relleno plate. The soup was large with very little thin sliced vegetables & 4 meatballs it was mostly broth which wasn't very good and over priced at $14.99 The Chili Relleno was kinda small & smothered with something that tasted like enchilada sauce. On a positive note, my daughter liked her shredded beef tacos & taquitos. It was a Saturday and only a couple of people.
I've had burritos. Soups, and dinner plates and the food is very good. If you're looking for a little hidden spot with an atmosphere and good food, this is the spot for you.
It’s a large restaurant we came in a large group there was enough seating our server Ivonne was super nice and she was moving with are large group. We tried a little bit of everything. Overall I would recommend the shredded beef was delicious and would suggest some to add a bit more guacamole on the plate so small didn’t have enough for my flautas.
Service was ok. Food not so good. I ordered a fajita plate with the meat, shrimp, and chicken and when arrive the chicken was still raw not well cooked. I left disappointed and my husband got a fish soup and taste more like water with chipotle not so good either it was our first time coming in to this restaurant and don’t think will come back. We told the waitress about it and all she said was an ok. Still charged us 90$ to our plates that were barely sighed in.
I ordered the albondigas soup to go. The broth and meatballs were very flavorful. I brought it to a work potluck and all my co-workers who tried it loved it!
My son and I went here a while back. The food was ok. The server acted like she didn’t want to serve us because she was focused and chatty with the people at a nearby table. It wasn’t crowded either. All we needed was one refill at the same time, nothing major and that’s all we needed from her. We never got it. Food was nothing spectacular. Doubtful we’ll be back anytime soon.
The food really tasted like nothing I had the asada tacos the hot sauce they provided wasn't spicy at all or had any spice to it
The food was delicious. Our server was so efficient and handled our large group proficiently. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was not very effective. It was over 100 outside.
Wet burrito with green salsa/sauce. 10/10 it's good Def has that flavor in it slightly has a lil spice but you notice it. Don't worry about the parking it's a good size lot also Starbucks is next door in case you want to have latte before lol.
They charged us $15 for soda water- not even pellegrinos, out of the soda machine so basically tap water. The waitress said- because it’s not regular water. Whatever, charging 5 each is ridiculous. Food was tepid. Not going here again.
Redlands, you are sleeping on this restaurant.
This was our 4th time eating at Huicho's. As always, service was fast, food was fresh and the seating was spacious. Ever get irritated when the table next to you is bumping elbows with you everytime you use a knife? Not here.
Most business seems to be via takeout post-covid, inside of the restaurant is incredibly clean and decorated.
Fresh salsa, HOMEMADE horchata with cinnamon sticks used and not the pre-packaged powder most establishments cop-out with.
Fresh food, red sauce with a kick, beans and rice were what you want for a traditional platter. I do not agree with previous reviews shaming the rice at all.
We will be back!:)
The food was incredible and came out hot and ready. Very authentic and real ingredients. I got enchiladas but omw out i saw someone getting a piping hot skillet and made me want to come back to get that.
First off I must say the chips and salsa were absolutely amazing. They were light crispy and fresh. Unfortunately the rice tasted like it came out of the bag. And the beans were so thick I couldn't really enjoy it. The tacos were tasty. The service is very quick. My server was very sweet and nice.
