Our trip to Humble Sea Brewing Company was a mix of good and not-so-great moments. The brewery has a bunch of interesting craft beers to choose from, but we hit a bump with the service.

We started off by using their QR code to check out the beer menu, and we were pretty excited for our first sips. But, after waiting for 10-15 minutes, our beers were still MIA. Turns out, our order got overlooked, and it happened twice. We think the staff could be a bit more on the ball with orders.

Now, onto the beers. "Socks & Sandals" was a standout with its fruity and vibrant vibe—smelled like oranges and tasted like a tropical mix of pineapple, grapefruit, and lemon lime. "Alameda Island Vacation" had this unique double decocted Tmavé Pivo thing going on, and "Starfish Swish" was crisp and refreshing with hints of jasmine, lemon zest, and chamomile.

Despite the service blip, Humble Sea Brewing Company has some cool and bold beer flavors. If they tighten up their service game, they could really shine in the craft beer scene.

Nice little place, lots of outdoor seating and a taco truck that was delicious! The beer was good and I got a 4 pack to go. Very nice!

This place is such a great little find. There is an off leash fenced dog area, indoor and outdoor seating, and really great service and beers. Only reason for four stars is lack of good food options. I went pretty early (5: 30pm on a Saturday) and the food truck was already closing. Usually I like to take a dog to a brewery for dinner and a few beers, so this might not be a normal stop for me until the food situation is worked out.

Excited to see the new location in Alameda! Really cuts the commute down to Santa Cruz! Beer was tasty, and the location is great! Great potato area, and they had a food truck setting up to start serving around 430pm on Thursday. Staff was friendly. Excited to make this a regular spot!

Another great Humble Sea Taproom. Great beer, great location, friendly employees and plenty of seating both indoors and out.

Great beer and good service - but no food available although the website said that there should be a food truck on site that day. We ended up ordering some pizza delivery.

Also - no bike racks to be found - for an establishment that should encourage folks to seek other transportion than driving.

Nice new clean modern space. Beers are easy drinkin’ but not gonna challenge a hop head which is what I’m always looking for, thinking Nelson hops dank brews. I’ll go back to try the bourbon barrel conditioned stout next time.

Same outstanding quality and selection of beers as in Santa Cruz.

Lots of outdoor seating and some inside, which can be quite noisy.

Bring your own food, or order from nearby Saltbreaker.

We were so excited to try this new brewery in Alameda point! The indoor bar itself was very nice with a nice new look. There is a nice outside patio and even a dog area! The beer tasted fresh (except for the NA- tasted too watery).

Many of the servers were kind and eager to serve. We decided to take our business elsewhere when one of the bar tenders, Jay, insulted me directly. I see no reason to give our business to those who choose to be unkind.

Great space to hang out and have a few beers.

SPACE

The picnic table area is massive and I’ve never had an issue finding a seat. I like that they still use QR code ordering with the wait staff so you don’t have to get up and wait in line to order your next round. They have a ton of space for kids to run around and play and they have a fenced in dog run so you can bring your dogs.

BEER SELECTION

They have a wide variety of beers, not just ten kinds of IPAs. They update their tap rotation on their website which I like.

SERVICE

Friendly staff that do not tire of answering questions about their beers.

10/10 would recommend Humble Sea Alameda.

Good selection of beers from hazy IPA to hef's. Limited sizes in merch. Tons of beers to go. Great place to get beers and let your dog get to know other dogs

Excited for Humble Sea to join Spirits Alley here in Alameda! Finally got a chance to visit on their 2nd weekend of being open. (We did visit on opening weekend but it was wayyyyy too crowded for us). The inside area has a counter and seating but a touch on the smaller side. (Super cute, shiny and new tho!) Spacious outside seating area but it did get busy quick (we went on a Saturday). Nice selection of beers and friendly staff. Only 2 gender neutral bathrooms. Seemed like there was constantly a line so a bit of fail there. Food pop-up vendors are available until a more permanent food option happens in their outside trailer. Really appreciate the 5oz option for the pours!

Humble Sea has a beautifully designed space that is a little small on the inside but with a great big outdoor space as well. Prices were very reasonable and you can build your own flight with half pours. The beers did not set my soul ablaze but they weren’t bad and I imagine someone who likes IPA’s would be ecstatic at the variety. Staff was very friendly as well.

Excited Humble Sea is finally in the east bay! Some of the best beer around, especially the foggy double and triple ipas!

We’ve been waiting for this spot to open because my kids play soccer across the street at Alameda point. What a great location to enjoy a beer in the sun. This spot is spacious, and beers come quick with the QR codes on the tables. I’m looking forward to coming back after soccer games this season!

Really like the huge picnic/patio area and the clean feel of the inside, but most importantly the beer is fantastic. Wide variety that all taste great. Staff was just right as far as giving some good info & letting me browse/decide.

They just opened the Alameda location this week and I could not be more excited! The Alameda space is beautiful, with lots of indoor and outdoor space for enjoying Humble Sea’s always delicious beers. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly; Humble Sea already feels like an integral community spot. The fact that it’s about half a mile from the ferry to and from SF also makes it an amazing after-commute watering hole. If there’s a line at the bar to order, fear not! You can order by QR code at each table and the incredible staff will deliver your order lightning quick. All in all, a great opening and a fantastic experience! I can’t wait to go back!
