Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry

My time with the dentist was rushed this visit and he left the room as soon as he was done with little time for questions. The fluoride treatment left my teeth gummy and not feeling clean. I had to brush several times at home to remove the buildup.

Yes, they are Modern, like the name says. The technology at this office seemed very up to date and modern. However, I feel like they treated the insurance rather than the patient. Back story I have gum disease, and I have had the same dentist for 20 years. He had worked with me through job changes and insurance coverage changes and lack of insurance at times. I went every 3 months for a cleaning. Ritually. Well, he retired. So I ventured into my new insurance and booked an appointment here with my new dentist. They said I needed a consultation first. It's totally understandable. I complied. Then it started we need to book this and do that and do this and that. I asked if all this was covered, and he said he didn't know he'll send in the girl. We'll she was a peach and started to go over the numbers. I explained again I just want a cleaning. Please. She said no, we have to start where the doctor says. I said please can we just start with a cleaning she again said no. I said then I will leave. As I walked out just to be sure I said so you won't book a regular cleaning first. She replied no. So I left. This place only serves the customer/ patiens insurance not the individual. I'll be looking for another dentist for my current dental needs.

I highly recommend this practice. Extremely competent, honest and kind. Our entire family loves it here and we call it home.

Great office staff. Dental hygienist Rachel G.is really the best. She is very good at what she does—thorough cleanings and really makes sure patients are as comfortable as possible. Of all the many dental hygienists I have had over the years (we’re talking dozens) she is the only one who recognized I needed an antibiotic for wisdom teeth issues. I haven’t had an issue since.
And she provides great advice on toothbrushes, etc. She really likes her job and it shows. I moved and could go to another dentist office—but I still with this office because of Rachel.

It’s always a pleasure to have my teeth cleaned by Rachel - I look forward to the experience every six months! She’s so friendly and compassionate, and gently cleans my teeth meticulously and thoroughly, explaining what she’s doing at each step. She listens to my concerns and makes me feel comfortable and cared for:) All the office staff are also friendly, and explain up front what my costs will be for the day so there are no unpleasant surprises, and the costs are reasonable, too. Dr. Hussein is my dentist, and he’s also friendly and knowledgeable and always does a thorough examination. Overall, Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry is a wonderful place and I highly recommend it and encourage all who read this to give them a try - you’ll be very happy you did!

For the last 5 years Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry has been my dental office. Dr. Tarek Hussein and Jonathan has done a number of procedures for me, a 74 year old man. I have never met a finer dentist in my long life. He not only performs with great results; he is a truly caring gentleman whose every conversation leaves me no doubt that he is not only the most knowledgeable, but the most caring of professionals. The staff compliments him nicely and I’ve not had anything but pleasant visits to an office I trust completely to give me the best possible outcome.

Best dentist I’ve ever been to! I’ve been to many dentists throughout my life even though im 23 because I’ve had endless cavities, shifting teeth, gum problems, plaque from my permanent retainer, chipping teeth, etc. So after having many visits for my teeth you best believe I hate the dentist. I always dread going because how painful it is and the awful experiences I’ve had with dentists. After I was Introduced to Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry I now am excited to go to my 6 month visits because I know they’ll take the best care of me. By care I mean they make sure to prevents any gum diseases before it begins, recommend toothpastes for my sensitive teeth, and even get that perfect shape when my teeth get refilled from a tooth chip. Now talking about my teeth chips, I would occasionally chip my front teeth because of my anxiety and it would be hard to stop since I would do it without even realizing. At this point I definitely have to give my Doctor a shout out, Tarek Hussein and his assistant Jonathon. This shoutout is definitely necessary because I am such a perfectionist and am very picky so when he would refill my front teeth he would be very patient, understanding, and strive to make it best to my liking! Every time he fixes my teeth I leave more than happy and he does such a great job I’m not exaggerating when he makes it look perfect. People like this are definitely rare to find so I would definitely recommend him as your new dentist! Thank you so much Dr. Hussein and all his workers for the best experience. Four years going strong with this office and more to come!

Modern Dentistry in Huntington Beach is the best. They are very professional. They explain about insurance coverage and the procedures. The people working there are all personable and helpful. I’m one that doesn’t really like going to the dentist but the staff at Modern Dentistry actually make the visits pleasant. Five-star rating for sure.

Had a wonderful experience. I had not been to a dentist in almost 20 years and was extremely nervous. First Jonathan made me feel really comfortable and relaxed as he took x-rays. He was very friendly and professional. Doctor Tarek Hussein was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my questions and concerns. Explained every step he was taking and what to expect on future visits. Had a deep cleaning done and it went smooth and easy. Everyone I spoke to at reception was more than helpfull and friendly, Especially Chi Nguyen. She was so attentive to my needs and super friendly. This will for sure be my dental office for the foreseeable future. Awesome experience. Thanks to you all!

The hygienist I went to, Rachel Genet, was excellent! She was very thorough with my cleaning and made sure to check in with me throughout. She was very kind and personable so you don't feel like you are just another patient on the schedule, she really takes the time to speak with you about any concerns you have. I really recommend seeing Rachel!

This was my first visit and they won me over! Everyone was so nice and professional. Rachel was wonderful and took her time with my cleaning. It was the best cleaning I have ever had. Maybe I will start not to get so nervous to go to the dentist.

Everyone is extremely nice and my dentist (Hernandez) took the time to listen to my concerns and explain everything to me.

As always, I am served with a smile, helpfulness and dignity by all staff. Dr. Smith is a gem. I forgot the name of her new helper but he is a pleasure to talk with.

Rachel was so informed and experienced, as well as understanding and open to answering all of my questions about the Dental work needed.

When it came time for my deep cleaning, Rachel was so intuitive and considerate of my comfort during the entire process. She even grabbed me a blanket when I was cold! Her professionalism and empathy was incredible.

Her hand is soft and experienced and I had minimal pain following our procedures.

I’ve had some really bad experiences in the past at dental offices and Rachel really made me feel more positive and comfortable about my future appointments here at Huntington Beach Modern Dentistry.
