Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco reviews
19This is the second time we stayed at Hyatt Centric, and we really enjoyed our stay there—it has a great location, the rooms are pleasant and clean, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful—
Clean and tidy. Staff in hotel very helpful. Restaurant staff seemed slightly understaffed though.
Breakfast was excellent. Great selection.
The hotel's buildings seem rather old, but the system is very practical for San Francisco travelers. The staff at the reception are very friendly and cooperative. The location was good, so it was convenient to move to the travel destination, and many travelers seemed to choose this place for the same reason. I could feel the lively hotel atmosphere.
My recent stay at Hyatt Centric Fisherman's Wharf was simply outstanding. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was impressive. The room was beautifully appointed with a breathtaking view of the city. The staff was attentive, courteous, and made every effort to ensure my stay was comfortable. I particularly loved the rooftop lounge, which offered panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. Without a doubt, this hotel deserves its five-star rating and more. I can't wait to return!
The place is clean, staff is very professional, rooms are spacious and well furnished. Very modern furniture and updated. Why it's 4 not 5? The shower head, it's just not enough pressure, no microwave in the room, and the restaurant is terrible. I believe that if the restaurant is removed, the hotel would be 5 stars.
Expensive Restaurants, Holiday Inn is across the street and includes breakfast for the same room price as the rooms at Hyatt.
Clean rooms, maybe a little tired but comfortable and had the normal amenities. The pool is only 3ft but was perfect for my kids to play in and heated. The small market store had a few snack options and was reasonably priced given that its a hotel store. All staff we encountered were lovely and it was a great location for fisherman's wharf.
I had a great 5 night stay at and Hyatt Centric Fishermans Wharf San Francisco. This is the first time staying at this location as I normally stay at the Grand Hyatt. But I wanted to check out a different location.
The hotel is located in an awesome location, near shops and restaurants within the Wharf.
As an Explorist, I was offered a courtyard, suite upgrade. The room was clean, very quite and updated.
I'd recommended having dinner at Scoma's, Cioppino's, and Boudin.
House keeping was good. We switched rooms 3x. And one night were awoken by someone's dog crying and then that followed up by a woman screaming at her man for over an hour and despite 3 calls downstairs nothing was done about it. Breakfast is not included and wasn't that Good.
The hotel adds a destination fee, but won’t tell you how much until after check in. You can’t actually know the cost until you are in your room. In effect, they operate a “bait and switch” scam. We will take our conferences to a more ethical hotel.
A must for vacation in the Bay Area!
I don’t know where to start! This hotel is amazing. The check in staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you get to hotel to early for check in they text you when it’s ready! The hotel lobby is extremely modern and clean as are the rooms! Cozy bed and sheets! Lots of outlets. Tv selection is very good! The gym facility is very nice. Lots of cycle machines, treadmills and ellipticals. Cold and dry towels available. Access to gym bathroom which is extremely clean. Every piece of cardio equipment has own tv. It’s 24 hrs! The only downside I would say, is the amount of weights! Maybe get rid of one of the cardio machines and have a lat pull down multi functional piece of equipment. This hotel also has an outdoor pool and hot tub. The hot tub takes a minute to warm up once you turn the bubbles on but is super clean and refreshing! And of course the location is unmatched! Short walk to Ghirardelli Square or pier 39!
Also the buffet breakfast is amazing! So much variety. The lox is top notch! Great way to start the morning!
Location was good as a 2 night tourist stay near to Fisherman's Wharf. The first allocated room had a whistling noise where the windows did not seal but a quick call to reception and this was resolved with a change of room. The room was quiet, clean with a comfy bed and good for our stay. As with a previous review, the elevators were always slow and therefore busy. The reception staff were not particularly friendly and we did not use any of the restaurant facilities as there are plenty of others in close proximity. Hotel is located very close to the Alamo rental point for car rental pickup. Easy walk to Alcatraz ferry. Would stay again if in the area.
Greedy resort fees and outrageous parking fees. None of which were disclosed up front when I made the deal. This is a very nice hotel, but unless you're quite wealthy, stay somewhere else.
The check in was awful. The staff was rude and also was given a room that was not ready and maintenance was working on that so i have to come down and ask for another room. So many hidden fees on the check out. Very overpriced for what you get.
We used the hotel for a one night stopover in SF and it was fantastic - the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the location is perfect for exploring Fisherman's Wharf and the hotel was very clean and modern. Valet parking isn't cheap, but it was much more secure and convenient than other local options. Highly recommended!
Hidden “destination fees” that cover services that should just be included in the already exorbitant cost of the hotel absolutely ruined our perception of this hotel. The hotel itself was ok, but the rooms lacked basic amenities such as a microwave. The WiFi is slow and is also unsecured, meaning you make yourself vulnerable to hacking in order to access Internet. The gym is small with poor air ventilation. The pool and hot tub close early at 9pm. The breakfast was ok but beware that “breakfast included” does not include gratuities and sales tax. Again, the destination fees are absolutely scummy and unethical. We were slammed with an added charge of over 200 dollars with no prior transparency. They slipped an itemized list of hidden fees under our door on our last morning. Just nasty. In hindsight I would have booked another hotel and I will not be returning to this one or another Hyatt again.
Had an unplanned extra night in San Francisco and stayed here. Within walking distance to the pier to check out the sites and restaurants along the bay. Also right down from the powell/mason cable car if you need to get back into the city and don't want to climb hills. The hotel room was large and clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. Staff was friendly, easy check in. The only thing I had an issue with is that the elevators were non-stop packed and had to wait every time I needed the elevator. Hotel is close to the port during my stay several groups leaving for a cruise were staying at the hotel as well.
YOU HAVE TO TAKE VERY INTO ACCOUNT, THEY CHARGE A DEPOSIT THAT THEY DO NOT RETURN AND IF ACCOUNTS APPEAR THEN, YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE FOR
Excellent service, everyone was friendly. We called room service to ask for an extra blanket and it took less than five minutes to help us.
