Ruby, Juliett, Jeff GM of Hyatt House Belmont are an amazing team! They accommodated all my request and were very hospitable throughout our whole stay! They made sure we were taken care of and went above and beyond when I made a last minute request to adding another room the day of. I love this location as well, close to the freeway but away from all the noise. It's like a home away from home! Thank you again and we will for sure return for another stay! Best of all they treat you like family!

All rooms are suites which is great but they allow people to smoke right by the door of the room. I got a room that is filled with cigarette smell and found multiple cigarette butts right outside of the room but management didn't do anything about it. The room is not really non-smoking as you will get third hand smoke from their rooms. Sometimes even second hand if you happen to stand around people who are smoking right outside their room. The housekeeper used a fragrance to mask over the smoke smell so you might not notice the cigarette smell right away.

Very disappointed with this hotel, they did not disclose parking fees to me from the beginning, they charged me on my credit card as an incidental after I had checked out, I'm very upset about it. The rooms are fine, but the breakfast is average at best, just overall disappointing. I would not recommend coming here

Staff is so friendly & welcoming every time I stay there. Rooms, lobby/common areas, outside are always very clean. Hyatt House Belmont/Redwood Shores is my go-to when away from home!

Wish I had read other reviews before booking this hotel. Everything about this experience was terrible. When we checked in we were told they “over booked” and that our room wasn’t available and that we’d have to get a different room. When I pushed on this because we wanted the room we reserved suddenly it was available and we got the room. Wish we had picked up on that first red flag. The second red flag came when we walked to our room and the exterior of the hotel was dirty with trash and spills in the walk ways that looked like they had been there for days. The water area that looks nice in the photos was actually a gross looking swamp. The whole area around the hotel felt sketch. Then the room was super run down. All the surfaces were sticky and there were holes in the walls that either were painted over or hastily patched. There were stains on the furniture that made us not really want to touch them. The toilet hardly worked and we had to reach out hand into the tank to get it to flush. Then when I went to check out there was a mistake in the billing (to be fair I think the mistake was made on the World Of Hyatt app and not by this specific hotel) but instead of trying to help me or even saying sorry the staff was rude, would interrupt me, and told me that it was all my fault and that I had made the mistake. No action to help me like suggesting I should contact World Of Hyatt was offered. When I told the staff about how terrible our stay had been they again didn’t offer any condolences or even ask for further info on the toilet to fix it in the future. I will never be staying here again.

Sorry, but when you bring my 12 yr old daughter to tears, you deserve less than one star.

The hotel is a close option if you will be sightseeing around San Francisco (about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic).

Amenities include coin-op laundry, small workout room, kitchenettes in the rooms with full-size fridge, and a pool (no hot-tub). Check in/out relatively simple.

Issues included a toilet that had to be plunged several times, low water pressure, and inconsistent services/amenities (i.e, a dishwasher, but no provided dish soap). This can be an easy fix with a Dollar store about a 5-10 minute drive away.

Three plates, three small glasses, some assorted silverwear and a frying pan were the cooking tools at your disposal.

Walls super thin (as with most hotels) but when I asked the front desk to contact the room above us about the child (I assume) that was running back and forth jumping loudly on the floor at 1: 34 AM, no attempt to contact them was made (would have heard the phone ring and it continued until around 2: 24).

Shower dripped most of the night requiring the bathroom door to stay shut and although toilet plunges were taken care of within ten minutes, why not just leave a plunger if issues persist that much?

Final straw was when we were at Pier 39 and I wanted to drive around taking some night pics of the city. My daughter wanted to get back to the hotel to swim. We got back in time to make it out to the pool by 9: 14pm (closes at 10). Gate locked and you have to ask for a key (no badge in option). Despite no one physically working on pool, was told it was closed for maintenance. No signs, no indication anywhere that this would be occurring. Anytime a major amenity will not be available, quality places announce or indicate this. Next morning, was told pool would be open at ten. When I asked what maintenance was done the night before, front desk was unable to tell, but checked with manager. That's when the informed me the pool would in fact not be open at ten as she has just I formed me two minutes earlier.

My daughter and I are avid swimmers and to have such a major amenity out of commission is a BIG deal to use. I understand issues arise, but the lack of communication to your guests is inexcusable. Especially when my last night could have been capturing beautiful nighttime skyline photos of the city versus having my daughter in tears for lack of communication by a sub-par hotel.

Will not return to this location for our next stay.

Mouse! In the room 111. Do not stay here. Rats running around outside! When I called the front about the mice, they were like ok. They were not surprised. No apologies, no let's change your room. They said they would send someone. He arrived 20 minutes later with 1 mouse sticky. I went to front to get a different room. It was late at night otherwise I would have left. Had to throw out groceries I bought the kids, had to wash all the clothes luggage was open in living room were mice was at. So I lost 75 bucks more and had to fo laundry. Just horrible. Manager never called to apologize. Breakfast horrible. I'm sure they have mice in kitchen.

This hotel is DISGUSTING! The room smelled of chemicals (maybe to mask an odor?) and was filthy. Room had clearly not been vacuumed and minimally prepped for the next guest. There were skittles behind the toilet. The door to our room didn’t close properly because someone had tried to kick it in at some point (they covered that up with paint but there was a HUGE dent). So sketchy. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I‘ve been to Hyatt House in Belmont for at least 6 times in the last years, because it is so close when I‘m visiting my colleagues. The area is safe and quiet, unless you have party neighbour’s which only happened one time. Rooms are spacey, clean and i like the bed. I don‘t use anything in the kitchen besides the fridge and it was always working. Breakfast is the bare minimum and hey they upgraded from plastic fork and knife and a paper plate to a real knife, a plasic plate and still a plastic fork

It is a nice hotel, the rooms are spacious, an elevator is needed specially if you are caring heavy luggage.
The location is in a beautiful area, there is a very nice park close by.
The pool and the staircases were never cleaned.

One star for lake view. One star for front desk staff.
I have stayed here twice. Everytime, something in the room are broken.
This time air conditioner can not heat the room.temperature only is 19c, freezing hotel. Not worth 3-star.
I wont stay here in future. I will try hyatt regency at north. At least it wont freeze you.

I had a great stay at Hyatt House Belmont. It offers a wonderful sense of community with its impressive range of amenities, including a fitness room, basketball court, and pool.

Location: The hotel's location is excellent, especially for travelers. It's conveniently close to the airport, near San Mateo, and only a 20-minute drive from San Francisco.

Customer service: The hotel staff was consistently polite and helpful. They were always willing to assist and made sure to mention all the available amenities, ensuring I had the best possible experience.

Cleanliness: I was pleased with the cleanliness of the hotel. I never encountered anything out of place, and the rooms were consistently well maintained and stocked with supplies.

Room quality: The spacious rooms were a standout feature for me. They felt more like apartments with ample space, which was definitely the best quality of the hotel.

Amenities: The hotel offers a great value for the price paid. The inclusion of a kitchen, pool, gym, and free breakfast is commendable. However, it would be even better to have more modernized TV features such as Chromecast or smart TVs.

Overall, I highly recommend Hyatt House Belmont. The price is a steal considering the exceptional amenities and comfortable accommodations you receive. It's definitely a great choice for a memorable stay

This hotel requires major renovation. I stayed there for 3 nights. The location is really good with a small pond outside and Service is good. But rooms are very old, bathrooms are cramped for space and complimentary breakfast is awful. You will feel like they haven’t changed anything inside a room in last 10 years and It doesn’t feel like Hyatt brand!

When I checked in I told them I don’t need parking, but they charged me a daily parking rate every night regardless in my bill.
