Hyatt House San Jose / Cupertino

One of the best Hyatt I’ve stayed in. Check in was smooth and easy. The rooms were very clean and equipped. Plenty of EV charging station and free parking in the underground with elevator straight to the room floors. Breakfast was good, omelette station, bagel, cereal, fruits, variety of juice and drinks. The lobby is very clean, spacious and quiet. Location is phenomenal, right by the freeway and dozens of eateries in walking distance.

Mikayla and Angel were both fantastic. Very kind and both helped me get a room asap. They could tell I was exhausted and did everything they could to make the process seamless. They also consistently upgrade their customers who are loyal Hyatt members. I was upgraded to a beautiful room, king size bed, with a kitchenette and gorgeous view. I’ll definitely come here again, especially if the two of them are still working there. They are part of why I love Hyatt hotels.

Bogus charges! Teacher & a Firefighter here, we smoke & were outside the hotel smoking with our family friends throughout the evening. Hotel said that our room smelled of smoke & even if we didn’t smoke inside, that the smell of smoke was inconvenient to other guests so we must be charged! It is not their policy to charge unless you smoke inside but these folks took it to another level. We are reaching out to the Hyatt chain to alleviate this 250$ charge as this hotel would not. I’m not sure if they have a thing against smokers, public servants, or if they just profiled us when we got there. We’ve never had a charge for smoking in any hotel room as we are incredibly respectful and always clean up after ourselves. As a firefighter, my partner is housed in hotels and comes back smelling of fire smoke but has strict protocols to keep the room clean such as: no smoking, no wiping boots with towels etc. He’s never had this treatment in any other hotel on or off the job. We thought we had found our favorite hotel chain, unfortunately Cupertino has ruined it for us!

Abigail and Alyix at the hotel front desk deserve nothing less than 5 stars! Their service was exceptional—remarkably kind and accommodating when I requested specific amenities for our room (Executive Corner Suite).

Beyond their excellent service, the property itself is impressively clean and modern, creating a comfortable and enjoyable environment throughout our stay. Our time at the hotel was truly delightful, thanks to the outstanding team and the inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Love this hotel! Great room, a small suite style layout with a large flat screen tv separating the living room and bedroom. Nice eat at center island and well appointed kitchenette. Whisper quiet heating/air-conditioning. All round outstanding room. Hotel lobby, morning breakfast & hotel service equally as impressive, this is my new favorite place to stay in the south bay!

The best Hyatt I've experienced across the board.

Staff were always (!) welcoming, personable, informative.

The best Hyatt breakfast EVER, with an omlette bar and good diversity of healthy offerings such as oat milk.

Building opened in late 2019 (?) and is quiet, clean. Great outdoor pool and sizable workout area with typical Hyatt offerings.

Close to Cupertino and the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Our family stays here every time we come San Jose/Saratoga. It's a
wonderful hotel. The front desk service is friendly and there's a helpful kitchen staff who make made to order omlets. The breakfast food is delicious with both traditional American food and also a miso and rice option.

If your company is paying for your to stay at a hotel, choose somewhere else! Hyatt House forces you to put your personal card down, and then may bill your personal card. It has happened to me numerous times!

Furthermore, it's bad enough that I've had to call them back to correct the mistake, but most recently, I called the to correct it and they couldn't even do that correctly, so now I have to call back again. I'm supposed to stay here bi-weekly through the rest of the year, but I'll be changing my reservation to another hotel that knows how to correctly bill their customers.

- Updating Oct 15,2023 - I spent some time w the office manager and she was actually great, acknowledging the issues and trying to figure out ways to make it better. Still not happy about being charged multiple time on my personal card, but I really appreciated her help and response.

Everything is very organized. No mass. Clean, modern, minimal. Simplicity is an art and Hyatt Houses knows how to create this art.

We, a family of 3, stayed here in August. The staff was very nice. Our son accidentally threw his flying disc into the pool and the manger Jose showed up to retrieve it for us. He tried so hard that he even got his suit sleeves wet. We were very much appreciative of it. The room was clean and well kept up. We will defiantly stay here again if we are back in the area.

I wish the swimming pool was longer and deeper than 3 1/2 ft, otherwise it's rated 5 stars in every categories.

We loved our 2 night stay here at Hyatt House and wished our stay was longer! Huge pros:
- free Tesla destination charger / safe / underground garage / free parking. They also have non Tesla chargers for other EVs
- well lit lot, plenty of parking around lot and in garage
- omelette bar that we look forward to each morning, oh the miso soup is so great for tummy in the mornings too!
- close to everything (apple park is just one fwy exit away) Main St Cupertino, restaurants and shopping
- those TV that swivels 360° is a game changer!
- staff from check in to kitchen and housekeeping have all been nice
- good Internet service - was a able to login to work with no disconnection or lag whatsoever while my husband watches TV

A few small cons:
- we think the hotel can help and enforce removing non Tesla vehicles from parking in those designated charging spots, not to mention it's illegal in CA for gas cars to ICE or block these charging spots. It'd be super annoying to arrive on site and can't charge because someone decides that it's fun to take up an EV spot
- water pressure is super low for me, take 3x longer to shower
- elevators are slow, stairs are faster
- either TV or remote is not working well, had to physically power the TV on and turn volume up/down (I know 1st world problems)

Read from other reviews that it could be noisy for rooms facing the freeway. Asked about it at check in and was told anything 3rd floor and up would be less noisy. We settled on 3rd floor and the windows and trees did their job at dampening traffic noise, it became more of a soft white noise and didn't bother us, we actually turned YouTube on for more white noise for our dog when we sleep

Gym is 24 hours, pools are open til 10pm but we didn't try. There were bikes that you could use too. Hotel has solar on roof top and two bins - one for compost and another for recycle placed all over the property. Doggie poopie bags were out though but good thing I always carry extra. Overall an excellent value for the location!

Great modern rooms. Excellent staff. Free underground parking. Walking distance from many restaurants. I stay here for a week every 6-8 weeks for work, it honestly is a better experience than many grand hyatts I have been to. The highlight is always the friendly staff.

This is the best Hyatt House I’ve ever been to. In fact, it’s way better than many Hyatt Regency hotels in the area.

First of all, it is super clean and well kept.

The front desk staff goes out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

The pool is compact but nice cabana area and fun to hang out in summer.

We had a studio king room. It feels spacious and the layout with a large TV that swivels works really well. The fully stocked kitchen with an island is convenient.

The common area is inviting and well stocked with books. There’s even a pool table.

The location is super. It is very close to the Cupertino Main Street with lots of restaurants.

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Cupertino.

Love the location, amenities, home-like suites, parking, free breakfast and great service.

The hotel I stayed at was absolutely terrible. The bedding and towels had an unbearable odor, as if they had never been washed with detergent. Additionally, the bed appeared as though someone had just slept in it, leaving it unkempt and messy (picture). To add to my disappointment, I discovered someone else's sock left on one of the chairs.
Attached photo of the bed was taken when I checked in. Didn't even sit on it once.
