Hyatt Place San Jose Airport reviews
17 I had not-so-great experience with the Hyatt. There were issues with hygiene and room service. The room was in the same filthy shape and no room service was done and garbage was not removed even after requesting the same.
The receptionist apologized but that’s not what we pay for. After some heated conversation, she agreed to move us to the room next door which was clean. But, we had to move all the stuff to the new room ourselves which took us another 30 minutes as the house keeping wasn't available. I emailed the manager Noel but she never responded to my email. I would prefer to stay at any other hotel which has more professional courtesy.
Everybody here was amazing. The young man at the front desk was fantastic, making sure all needs were met!
After 2+ previous very positive stays in the past years, this stay was a nightmare. At 5am I felt something crawling on my hand. I found BED BUGS on the pillow and under the pillow.
I immediately closed my pajamas in the laundry plastic bag, showered and went to the front desk to checkout. The hotel staff did not charge anything for my stay and we agreed I would leave my pajamas for laundry service and sanitation.
When I got back the following evening, the staff on duty did not know anything then they found my pajamas in the lost and found wardrobe, in the same bag I had left it in. Nothing had been done and even worse once opened I could see a dead bug on the pajamas.
I left it again at the hotel, asked for laundry service and went to a different Hyatt. The following afternoon I received a phone call informing me that my pajamas was ready. I went back and indeed the pajamas was folded and closed in new plastic bags. I thanked the staff and left.
Once back to my room at the hotel Hyatt near by I opened the bags and discovered that NOTHING had been washed, it was barely folded and the dead bug was STILL on my pajamas in the same spot I noticed it the previous day on the right shoulder.
THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. Not only BED BUGS but a miscevous behaviour by the front desk staff. NEVER EVER AGAIN AT THE HYATT PLACE SAN JOSE AIRPORT.
I did not even receive a call from the hotel manager to apologise. Nothing.
I was overcharged for my hotel stay on FIVE rooms. I called SIX times about this mistake with no help at all, I even emailed. I haven't had a response, so I definitely will not be using them again. They were also rude and unprofessional in the lobby.
Good hotel with very good breakfast.
Parking is $15 per day.
Room was nice and clean.
No microwave
Hyatt Place San Jose Airport is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in my life, and I've stayed at quite a few. The room is super cozy and modern - it has a unique layout to it. Showers have a great temperature and easily adjustable to the hot/cold setting at which you desire. Breakfast options are aplenty with sliced fruit, eggs, bagels, cereal, oatmeal and more.
The lounge area on the first floor where the bar is very comfortable, and you can order food from the restaurant until 11: 30 p.m. I believe. Hotel staff is knowledgeable and present. They have plenty of options at the receptionist desk in case you would like to purchase drinks and snacks. Only cons I would say is the bed can be too soft and the waffles they had for breakfast were stale.
The false alarm fire drill was a regrettable experience. Wish they would have announced it was false, instead of greeting everyone in the lobby with the news. 6 flights of stairs.
This location gave away our room and claimed our reservation was canceled. We booked with a third party at a lower rate and since there was a conference in town, they gave our room to someone else for a higher rate. The third party agency verified the reservation was still valid and Hyatt did nothing to help. Would not recommend doing business with a place that would give away a room to make a few more dollars. After reading other reviews of this location, it appears that this is a common practice. Totally unacceptable - do not stay here!
Spent 14 days there, a lady named Tina who was visiting if wasn't for her this place would FAIL. When I checked in the lady told me that I should have went somewhere else staying so long.
Nice location near the airport. Nothing spectacular about this hotel but the beds were comfortable, room was quiet and clean, internet speeds were good, just a solid no frills hotel. There is another Hyatt next door so make sure you’re checking into the correct hotel!
Such a nice place to stay. The employees were very friendly! The hotelroom itself had very nice furniture, comfortable beds and a great view (7th floor)
Very close to airport. Rooms are modern and clean. Like the lights kicking on in the middle of the night when you get up. Management and service needs some work. One of two elevators down while I was there making getting to/from room longer ordeal. Trash overflowing in lobby. One guy running the desk/bar/restaurant makes for slow service. Bar and kitchen were out of a lot of things. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and it took 30 minutes and it came out cold and soggy? Nice bones that needs some tlc, management.
The owner's response to this review makes it clear that they are not paying attention whatsoever.
Great airport hotel. Free shuttle service to airport. Right across the street from Karina light rail station and next to a Denny's. Offers free water, tea, and coffee but they often run out. Room should have a microwave. Hard to leave without a car.
For starters the mini fridge would not get cold, there was a pull out couch but no pillows or blankets. The bed squeezed so bad that when one of use moved it woke the other up. Not a kid friendly hotel
Good location near the airport and a metro stop. Plenty of free parking if you have a car. Their outdoor pool area is pretty decent for a hotel this size with a few lounge chairs and patio type tables. The lobby has comfortable seating areas. There's a bar next to the check-in area with limited hours, but it is a nice touch if you're looking for a glass of wine. I don't remember the hours but you can also order snacks like french fries!
The extra large double bed in the room was very comfortable, but I was very dissatisfied with the sofa bed. The sofa bed did not have a quilt or sheets, so I called the front desk and asked them to make the bed. In the end, they only gave us a quilt and a sheet on the bed and asked us to make it ourselves. I'm staying in a hotel, not a youth hostel. Please don't be so perfunctory about things, okay? If the room is heaven, the service is hell. There are very few breakfast options and the refill speed needs to be improved.
This was a great hotel! We stayed from Thursday to friday. We checked in at night and the staff was so helpful and kind!
