4 Nice hotel in the UC San Diego area. Nearby light rail to downtown opening later this year. Lobby is currently partially under renovation. Despite COVID-19, pool, firepits, room service (6am-9pm weekdays, later on weekends), market, etc.are open. The lounge, gym, & restaurant appear to be the only things closed.
Market had decent selection, hot food for order (presumably same as room service), and a full to-go bar.
As a Globalist they gave us free breakfast for 4 people via room service or market. Room service was great with many options.
Room was nice, only complaint is the carpet was a bit worn with a big wine stain on it and there was some minor early morning construction noises.
Without current promos parking fees are a bit steep.
Extremely friendly workers. Will definitely be spending more time here again. Great atmosphere in beautiful La Jolla. Definitely check this place out
Terrible place! Staff in the lobby was extremely rude! They allow dogs that bark for ten minutes when someone walks down the hallway. Employees left all the lobby doors completely wide open on the first floor allowing cold air (48 degrees) to enter the elevator and upper hallways through out the entire hotel.
GO TO THE SHERATON ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE 5! This place sucks!
Had a great experience here with my family. They were very accommodating and they even got us an upgraded room to accommodate my little ones needing a bathtub. They moved our luggage and everything to our new room after the first stay in a smaller room.
I was very impressed and will be staying here again!
The service was so wonderful and kind to us. We were very pleased with everything involving our stay here for 4 nights.
