I felt welcomed when greeted t the front desk. Staff were very friendly and the price was less than expected. Really enjoyed staying there and everything was super clean!

Next door unit smoked weed on patio. We could not leave our door open at all. Reeked bad. Front office said they would take care of it. They must not have said or did anything about it because it didn't stop.

Great location, rooms were sub par. Pull out was at least 10+ years old. Parking is $45 a night, unless you park on the street. Slides for pools close at 6pm, small jacuzzi for the amount of people the resort holds. Only 10 people max? ! Pretty sure room had silver fish bugs, found one on suitcase while removing suitcase from car when we arrived home.

We spent a whole lot of money to stay here. More than double what we normally pay. I thought the pools would be nice and relaxing but they are tiny and totally overrun with kids. This is not a place I would stay without kids. It's not a relaxing spot at all. We paid over $600 a night for a queen suit, $45 a day for self parking and a resort fee. The photos are sorta accurate of the actual rooms and grounds. The living room we didnt spend much time in because it smelled like mold.

The room is old and not up to the standard. I stayed at the basic two queen room at 2nd floor. This is a purely waste of money here. I won't recommend it to anyone.

This hotel was the number one contributor to making us happy during our 3 nights and 4 days trip to San Diego. I stayed in the corner suite marina view room on the 11th floor, and the view from the room was so beautiful that I didn't want to go home. From the balcony, you can see the Sea World fireworks very close, so it was very fun to watch the fireworks every night.

Sea World, La Jolla Cove, Little Italy, Phil's BBQ, etc.were close to all the places I visited during this trip, so accessibility was very good, so I went there comfortably.

The hotel pool facilities are very good, so it is very good to stay with children. The water is warm and not cold, so it's great to play in the water. There are three water slides for adults and children, and they are the best! It's so fun for adults to ride, and the kids love it so much that I rode it dozens of times. There is a small event every day of the week, which is great. It was so much fun to have a watermelon eating contest for children today, and making snow by roasting marshmallows every night will be a good memory for the children.

All the staff I encountered were kind, especially thanks to Kenfo at the front desk, I think I was able to have a good time. I am very grateful to him for responding kindly from the time of check-in and for not bothering me whenever I had any questions during my stay, and for always being kind and helpful in detail. Next time we come back to San Diego, we will definitely come back to this hotel, and we hope Kento greets us at the front desk again. Thank you to all the staff at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Resort. See you again

I wish I could give the service here more than five starts, especially the valets.

And you can watch the Seaworld fireworks from bed.

This is the only place we will stay in San Diego. It's home away from home.

Great location, rooms were clean and great views! Service was on point and if you have a family the pool is on point! We ate at the restaurant at the pool and the food was top notch.
We will be back! The only tip is you have to pay for parking $25 a night for self parking or $45 for valet!

No A/C in Bay II building. The cooling system is evaporative cooling so the thermostat is not functional. It's set to cool and runs 24/7. I keep wiping sweat off my forehead while trying to sleep and forget using a bedcover. Because it's evap cooling, there is a musky almost moldy smell to the room, especially with carpet on the floor. Other than that issue, the hotel grounds are absolutely stunning. Loved our little private patio outside of our room. Pool area was packed with happy families and kids which was awesome. The boardwalk by the marina was beautiful. Service staff were very kind and accommodating. Great location. Walkable to Belmont Park but not with kids. Not sure if all the the rooms have evaporative cooling. Maybe it's the older single level rooms. There is a tower on site with balconies so maybe that building has A/C. Granted San Diego temps allow you to use evaporative cooling but when there's humidity, it's not as comfortable as A/C.

The service, location, and amenities were top notch! The room was also nice, but not as clean as I would have liked. Primarily, it was pretty dusty. Especially around baseboards and in corners. Also, there was dust hanging down between the ceiling tiles. Made me afraid of what might be on the other side of the ceiling tiles. We asked to have that cleaned but that never happened. The bed also felt like it’s either old or, they just chose super squishy mattresses. My biggest things are clean sheets and clean shower. Those areas were good. Except the shower head had a lot of the emerald colored build up on it. I know it’s a beach location. But, it’s also pretty expensive to have such issues, from our perspective. For the price, I’d definitely stay somewhere else.

The room is not vacuumed daily. The tap water was running very slow. We found a lot of dirt and even toys from previous residents. Swimming pools had a lot of plastic cups and paper tissues floating under water no one bothered to clean it. It was annoying to be inside the pool. So called “High” Hyatt standards are definitely not met here. Needs a lot of improvement.

The good: the location is excellent, the views from the tower rooms were beautiful, everyone I spoke to was friendly, beds were comfortable, the restaurant was delicious, and it's on Unite Here Local 11's list of labor-friendly hotels.

There were, however, a lot of problems that I wish I'd known about in time to spend my travel dollars differently:

- Parking is $45/night, on top of expensive rooms, and you'll get towed if you park on the street in the area. This isn't disclosed anywhere when booking the hotel. The only option that doesn't add $45/night to your room cost is to park at a public beach a 20-minute walk away from the hotel.

- No EV charging options with the $45/night parking.

- Water pressure in rooms is so minimal it's tough to wash your hands, much less have a satisfying shower. They blame this on local regulations, but neighboring properties don't seem to have the same issue.

- TVs in rooms are advertised as including various streaming services, but in fact do not include any streaming content and can't be used to log into your own accounts on streaming services. All you can watch is basic cable. The hotel staff didn't seem to know this and sent an engineer up to my room to "fix" it, and then had me wait on hold for customer support at an offsite center, only for the person I finally spoke to by phone to tell me that he didn't know why they transferred me to him because this Hyatt location doesn't allow remote access to their in-room televisions, so customer support can't do anything to help at all. Finally, the fourth person I spoke to was able to tell me that they actually just don't offer anything but basic cable in guest rooms. You can't even Chromecast to the TV from your phone.

(Sure, "just go outside and enjoy your vacation, " but that's not helpful advice when it's midnight, you feel like watching a movie, and you're looking at the flyer in your room that gives instructions on how to access Netflix, HBO, etc, and following those instructions doesn't do anything and the front desk takes two hours to finally get around to saying "actually, we don't offer those services anymore. ")

It's a perfectly lovely view, the staff are nice, and the hotel is fine, albeit dated—I'd be happy to stay there again if I were on a business trip using the corporate expense card. For a vacation, though, if I'd known about these items in advance I would have compared this hotel to other options in the area and likely chosen a different accommodation that would at least be able to offer me a pleasant shower and Netflix for over $300/night.

Amazing place for a family staycation. Clean rooms, comfy beds, beautiful views, nice wait staff at the pool, beautiful pool, and fun water slides. My only criticism is no room service, and the restaurant on-site (The Red Marlin) never took me off hold when I called for breakfast pick up, twice. I will definitely be back for the affordable and specious rooms and the sparkling pool.

I could hear everything neighbors were talking. Room is not vacuumed properly. Even trash was left from yesterday, long wait times to reception. Food at Red Marlin was amazing but although breakfast was included I still had to pay 100 dollars for breakfast extras at the checkout. Reception gave us a key for the room where somebody was already staying. No apologies were made and while we were waiting in the lobby because of delayed flight and my child got asleep in lobby sofa security aggressively asked us to leave immediately.

Good luck with front desk! They are useless. Good to stay if you like BUGS! Found one on my newborn!

Came here over priced not to forget $45 to park overnight. Let alone that I had found more than one bug on the bad. No apology or nothing had to call and ask for new sheets management did not even apologize. Pool was also dirty and had plastic cups inside!
