Hyatt Regency Newport Beach

Nice rooms, nice views, nice pool, golf course, bar/restaurant fire pits and smore kits for evenings. Would have been 5 star but one employee at the front desk wasn't very helpful and was also rude.

Beruflich bedingt hat mich meine Firma, für die ich in Irvine tätig war, immer wieder hier untergebracht. Meine Freizeit habe ich hier sehr genossen. Die Freundlichkeit. Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals, die Zimmer, Speisen, Getränke und auch der Service (inkl. Pool) waren immer ABSOLUT PERFEKT. Ich kann dieses Hotel wirklich wärmstens empfehlen.
Deutsche und isländische Urlauber erzählten mir, dass auch sie wiederholt hier gebucht haben.
Den Pazifik kann man sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen, die Polizei hat es allerdings lieber, dass man ein Auto benutzt, ich habe da so meine Erfahrungen gemacht.
Der Strand ist ein absoluter Traum, das kennt man sonst nur aus dem TV.
Für sportliche Aktivitäten und Shopping ist amerikanisch perfekt gesorgt.

It is my first time here, when l was gonna take a shower, l found there was a vaginal hair left on a towel, and started checking other towels and found those towels weren’t completely clean, l called front desk to give me new towels. This is a bad first impression

Big fan of Hyatt and the resort grounds were very nice. That said, the walls are PAPER THIN. I could hear every conversation, phone call, toilet flush, and even the yawns of my neighbors. Every footstep of the upstairs guest was extremely audible. It was very hard to sleep, as soon as the neighbors wake up you’re up as well! I was in the Balboa building, so maybe the main building is different, but the room was louder than a roadside motel. I know this would be an expensive and difficult problem for Hyatt to remedy, but it needs to be addressed. Expect no privacy, business or personal. Will look elsewhere on my next trip.

It would be my last choice. It's definitely not Aviara or Huntington Beach. It feels like we're lost in a time warp. Definitely the Hyatt needs to redo the entire place. It feels old. Obviously not close to the ocean. Like I said it would definitely be my last choice.

Beautiful, expansive property near all Newport Beach has to offer. Has the feel of a resort, with free bike rentals, an on-site bar and restaurant, and multiple pools. The rooms are small but well-equipped with very comfortable beds.

This was our first trip here and I’ll start off by stating that staff was very accommodating but the place itself needs some work. It’s old, rooms are small, really feels like an older hotel, not resort feel at all. The stay and everything is way overpriced, for instance my daughter ordered a med pizza and 8 wings from the restaurant downstairs and the total was $107. We canceled our order and ordered from dominoes instead for $20 and had it delivered. Everyone was nice, the stay was good but outdated and expensive for what you get. My son did enjoy his time at the pool though!

This is an old Radisson Hotel pretending to be a Hyatt. Very small rooms, no luggage stand, and the bed cover had a large yellow urine stain on it. We had to have it replaced. Disgusting.
Never ever would stay here again even though we have family in the area.
So upset we booked here.

We brought our 4 year old grandchild and enjoyed the pools, especially the water slide and splash pad. Lots too do and close to the beach and Balboa Island. Pull-out couch was adequate for the 4 year old, but would not have been comfortable for an adult.

Way expensive and parking is a hike away that costs i think 30 overnight no discount for the room rental either. I think valet was actually cheaper at 28 or something.

We were in the Lido section in the back. It's an old looking and feeling part of the hotel. Our rooms had a similar look and feel. (I can't comment on other sections of the hotel.) The restaurant, perhaps because of COVID, had a limited menu and only ok food. However, the staff in every part of the hotel were excellent. They really know how to treat guests, even if the facilities are nothing to write home about.

Words can not express the experience I had here. I will definitely come back for another stay. The atmosphere is truly consistent with relaxing and rebooting for life. The staff entire staff was just close to perfect.

A nice place to stay with Newport Dunes right across the street and Fashion Island nearby.

I stayed here two nights and wish I could stayed longer as it's large footprint merits explorations. Clean and quiet room with a great view of a pool. Many selection on breakfast menu. Great for family weekend outing. Great front desk service.

We planned and executed 3 major Birthday parties this weekend! Everyone really enjoyed themselves!
We could not have done
it without the incredible event staff at the Hyatt.
Monica, and Brianna were truly amazing! They were efficient and Professional from Start to Finish! They were always attentive and available. They NEVER let us down. We are forever grateful!
I would gladly return to this Hotel. Dave, John and several others come to mind as Awesome Employees!
