I'm sorry, but Ian obviously is blatant in his plagiarism of the most famous artist in this field, Peter Lik. On top of that, he has the audacity to claim no photoshop or altercations were made to the photos. If you're okay with knock off luxury items, Ian Ely is your type of fine art photography. However if you enjoy the best quality, longevity and most timeless art, do yourself a favor and walk down the street to the Lik gallery. Yes the prices are higher, but you get what you pay for.

Spectacular pictures! When you stand in front of one of his originals, you get transported to the place. Beautiful! I am a fan.

Ian's work was delightful. The photographs were grand, astonishing and left me with a sense of wonder of how such vivid colors exist in our world, and how the photographer was able to capture the beautiful moment infront of me.

However, my experience was nothing other than bitter with the gallery curator as he condescendingly informed me that my personal interpretations of the art were 'wrong'.

If you enjoy fine art galleys I would recommend stopping by as it was quite a sight to see. Yet I would be weary of voicing any negative opinions on a piece as the curator may be moody and voice back some negative opinions about yourself

Beautiful gallery. The host from the Czech Republic was so friendly and truly helped us to understand the intricacies of each shot. Leaving here with a new appreciation for galleries and photography in general. She was awe inspiring and as passionate about the photos as if she had taken them herself.

I first saw Ian's work in Seattle. I was amazed at his work. He definitely has the eye for photography. I absolutely fell in love with the photo of the huge moon and the tree. My friend later surprised me with the photo.

Love Ian and his staff. My husband and I were in last May and had an incredible experience. Had a surprise visit from Ian himself. Can't say enough good things about his work.

Anyone who knows anything about photography can see some of the pieces are photoshopped or double exposure! The salesperson claims they are not photoshopped nor double exposure.and he claims it takes years of practice to do this.

Take a look at Scripps Pier photo with the moon on the side; it is impossible to take the shot with a wide angle lens and get the moon that size! (even if it is super super SUPER moon) or shoot the moon with a zoom lens and get the whole pier! + you cannot get that much detail of the pier without the moon getting overexposed.

I understand that most photographers lie to sell their photos such as Peter Lik. At least, his manipulation of the photos are very mild compared to Ian Ely. I’ve been to 4 or 5 of Peter Lik galleries so far and I heard 3 different stories for one shot he took. (Manhattan Bridge shot from Brooklyn)

IMHO National Geographic gallery has the best photos between the 3 galleries in La Jolla.

Bottom line, you like the way it looks on your wall just buy it, but dont let these people try to fool you. One day you may show this piece on your wall and tell the story you heard to someone who understands photography and he/she might burst your bubble.

Absolutely stunning! Ian Ely definitely has the eye for nature's beauty and the ability to capture truly amazing compositions. The aesthetics in this gallery inspire me.
