Ice Creamery Restaurant, Castro Valley CA

Great place to get ice cream or order dessert. The food, however, is average. I won’t come back to eat sandwiches (BLT or Au Jus Roast Beef Sandwich). Pricey for what you order (get). Mud pie, however, was delicious. Great to share. Free parking in the back lot. Service was friendly and attentive.

Our family has been coming here for over 10 years for birthdays or team celebrations. Food is consistently good along with the service. It’s like a quality diner with really good ice cream. Prices have gone up lately but still a good value. Ice cream dish sizes are really large so save room!

Nice place with indoor eating and take out for ice cream, sandwiches and chocolate pastry. The place looks like 3 different shops. Home made chocolates, sandwich shop, ice cream shop with a common seating place. Located in downtown Castro valley with lots of parking in the back and a rear entrance.

This place has great ice cream. Famous around Castro Valley. They make their own ice cream, so it is very good. And the are very generous with the scoops. Be sure to look at the different size balls on the counter. They represent the size scoops.

First time eating a freshly made hot fudge sundae in months with outdoor table service. Tasted as good as ever!

Do not go here. The girl told me, at 745 when I called, if I hurry down I could get my order. I arrived at 750pm, and the doors were locked. When I called, the VERY RUDE girl, while looking right at me through the window, said "Too bad, we decided to close early. " I told her I had just gotten off the phone with her and she had told me to hurry down. Her response again, "Too bad". Do not patronize this business, they clearly do not care about the customer and have no problem lying to customers.

I will never spend money at this place again, and I have lived here for years.

I eat here twice a month after my haircut perfect spot for a family dinner they never let me down. After our meal we always get ice cream which is always amazing. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly I look forward to my routine visits.

The food and ambience was amazing.family friendly.we unknowingly got the special banana split, great ice cream excessive portion.i went with my family of 4 and was unable to finish more than half.

Love this place, wished i ate something like a burger instead of eatting mint chocolate chip cus it chipped my tooth.

Ordered apple pie with vanilla ice cream and caramel, never got it. I cancelled my order! I was with a large group, everyone was enjoying there orders, when I asked about my order they didn't seem to understand. Probably won't got back. My son and his friends did enjoy what they ordered! The young waitress was very nice!
