ID Cafe reviews
19The dosas here come with a twist of interesting filling that is a bit unusual. Mixing north and south Indian cuisines in delivering crispy dosas. There were some sauces in the ingredients that we didn't understand and the wait staff had to go to the kitchen to find out. The dosas came out crispy and stuffed but the chutneys do not go well with the stuffing for the unusual dosas. Karaikudi dosa tasted like dosa with pav bhaji filling. Worth a try.
Outstanding Ambiance and Food. South Indian healthy Pizza (Uthappam) that rivals the likes of custom CPK pizza. Delicious!
We tried Id cafe for the first time today and loved the food. Tried their pav bhaji dosa and idli. Food was authentic and delicious. The service is great. They gave us mango lassi to try and it was so delicious.
Must try restaurant!
Do not miss this place!
The food was amazing!
Can't believe it is in the mall!
But oh so worth the trip!
Amazing place! Terrific service and food is prepared fresh and is delicious. I got the andhra spicy dosa and it was every bit mouth watering. Other items we got were great as well. Highly recommend!
Service is great and everybody’s nice!
Tried this for the first time while I was close by and the experience was amazing. It’s right next to CPK, with enough seating indoors and outdoors. The place was clean and toilets specially very clean.
We had masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa, idlis, vadas, samosas, Ashoka halva and filter coffee, everything was delicious and made with flavor and perfection.
Liked the food so much that we brought home more.
Our server was friendly and front desk girl, Niharika was kind n smiling …. Had a great time, highly recommend.
One small piece of advice, if they could use curry leaves chopped, it won’t get into other veggies in the sambhar. The chutneys were delicious too.
Excellent lunch option for Indian food At Stoneridge Mall!
Super coffee, dosa’s & idli, badam milk
The minced mutton dosa is da bomb!
Decided to try this place out after reading all the reviews.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. I found outdoor more peaceful but as it was a big chilly we sat inside.
A little slow when coming to getting people seated. When asked for water, waitress got 2 filled water goblets and one empty. It was confusing as they wanted to us to fill the 3rd one.
We ordered
Vada sambar 7/10. Sambar had too much pepper
Punugulu 10/10. Nice texture and crispy. It was well cooked from inside too.
Hyderabadi bandi dosa 7/10. It was ok. Will I order again? Not really.
Mumbai pav bhaji dosa 9/10. It was better than bandi dosa. Minus 1 as it felt they added chilli powder on the top to make it spicy. Could feel the raw chilli powder taste.
Ghee dosa 10/10. It was dripping with ghee. Crispy and well made.
Mango lassi - 8/10.
The chutneys were very tasty. Peanut, tomato, green one were all perfect.
Will definitely visit again to try the other items on the menu.
Really good food and very affordable prices! First time trying a Dosa and I was surprised by the size. Great portions and really good service by my waiter Anad. Glad I visited and I recommend the mango lassi as well. The taste is very fresh and healthy.
Went here for breakfast on a saturday. Had the goat dosa, egg dosa and filter coffee. The food was delicious. I really liked that they offer some protein options in dosa, and most dosas can be made from moong daal batter. The chutneys were tasty, particularly the peanut chutney. The filter coffee was also made well, strong and piping hot.
I also like that this location is in a mall, and they have a more contemporary ambience that is often lacking in most indian restaurants that don't primarily cater to Americans. Would like to see more places pursue this instead of the god-knows-how-old decor found in other places.
Dosa was perfectly crispy, accompanied with tasty sambhar and three chutneys.
Service was prompt and very friendly! Check it out
If you want to eat Mumbai, India street style dosa, this is the place. They have good options, the stuffing is added in generous quantity, the taste is also pretty authentic to street style food for dosa's, yet to try other menu items, but surely, a place visiting again. Also for the price, it's good value for money.
Tried some evening snacks like Samosa and Tikka fries with Masala Tea. Everything was great, amazing quality and good portion size for all items.
Nice comfort food. You will get variety of South Indian breakfast options. Tried chicken dosa and it was delicious.
By far the best dosa i have eaten!
Karaikudi Goat Keema dosa is out of this world!
My go to Idly is the Karma Podi Idly!
Topped off with a filter coffee!
Drive 30+ mins and a bridge toll for it!
Excellent food.
Minor thing - Music selection world be contemporary, not devotional, felt like sitting in a temple:)
I highly recommend also Naveen served us with great attitude and helped us with good food choices
Very very good dosas (Indian savory crepes)! Although we ordered some of the stuffed ones, we should've stuck to the basics- the plain or the ghee dosa. I feel like the simple dosas would've been exceptional!
A new location for the ID cafe chain, so the service is pretty good - they will fix everything that didn't meet expectations.
We had a couple of things that we didn't like, but they promptly fixed them. We received a glass of water that wasn't clean, half full, and a lip print on one side. The dessert (matka kulfi) isn't house made, but is a brand that you can buy from a store (Vadilal) - not their fault, my expectations were high.
If dosa cravings are what you're trying to satisfy, this place will certainly do the job. Wish the place all the best!
Excellent ambience and cuisine. The bite-sized batata vada was delicious and was cooked to perfection! The Mumbai Jini dosa was superb. Also the pav bhaji idly was excellent!
The menu is misleading because I assumed the pav bhaji idly would also include chutneys and sambar. It didn't, though. The tikka fries didn't appeal to me either. The tikka masala lacked salt and was sugary.
