Idyllwild Inn reviews
19This place had everything I was looking for. The staff was friendly. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The property location was amazing because it is right in the heart of town but plenty of open space and trees. We were able to walk from the cabin to every place in town.
Very disappointed with this location. Made our reservation months ago and called to cancel it and left multiple voice messages WELL before our 2-week grace period and somehow still ended up charged for it. Their staff called the day of our original check-in and when I told them we had called to cancel over a month prior they “had no record” although I’d called and left a voicemail on the same number they were calling me on.
We had cabin #15 The only cabin that has a wheelchair ramp. Parking area does not accommodate a wheelchair if adjacent cabin has car parked in the same area. Cabin has nice appointments including coffee machine (sparsely supplied) Nicely located close to city center if you like to shop.
Very clean and simple cabins right in the middle of town. Staff is very friendly. The only draw back is the internet constantly reconnects. Other than that, the stay was great.
Before do you see one or two comments just on this place with your family and friends do you have to on joy it and pass a beautiful day and moments of life. BLESSED AB
Nice little spot right in the center of town. Ice cream, coffee, and restaurants all within a minute's walk. Nice, simple rooms with cute decorations, and a common area deck to sit and hang out.
Love it.just in the downtown.very central and everything close, and what i loved the most, pet friendly
I would like to give this place a good review but the customer service at first was great then it wasn’t. When we checked in we asked if we could get another night for the same price and let the lady who helped us said no problem. Unfortunately we got the first night on Expedia and so we had to go back the next day before checkout to do the paperwork for the next night. The lady said nothing about a price difference or issues about prices being different. That same day the fire alarm went off in our room when I took a shower because the steam from the shower set it off.
Next day we found out the room would be double what we paid and the guy talking to us was rude about it. We told him what the lady said and all he said was that the price would be double. It was cheaper the first night because it booked on Expedia and there was nothing he could do. We also told him about the fire alarm going off and he made it seem like it was us who imagined it. We talked to the people who stayed next to us and they said they had the same issue. They said he did the same to them too. I later went to buy a soda from the office and I overheard the lady say to her co worker that she never said anything about giving us the room for the same price.
The one room cabin we stayed in wasn’t worth 250 dollars a night let alone for how outdated everything looked and the fire alarm going off when we took showers. If you stay here don’t book the room through them because you’ll be over charged. They also don’t care about customer service or preventing a customer service issue. If she had just told us the cabin would cost more the next night we would have asked the price and would have either stayed somewhere else or just agreed to it. I work customer service so it’s not like I wasn’t paying attention to what she was saying.
Excellent location, cabin and front desk staff especially Lisa she was so helpful nothing was any bother to her.
I can not believe the hidden GEM we found. Idyllwild is such a peaceful town with numerous shops and restaurants. We came up for the day and ended up staying 2. We booked in at the Idyllwild Inn and the ladies at the desk was so nice and helpful, they seem to have a lot of fun and the Boss was making us laugh. We will be back not just because the cabin was beautiful but because of the people who work there.
Great location for access to the heart of Idyllwild. Local shopping for fun gifts, hiking gear, coffee, restaurants, post office and more. The laundry service at Idyllwild Inn was perfect for $5.00 per bag. The convenience items in the store next to the check-in desk included t-shirts, stickers, sodas, water and some alcoholic beverages.
Had the Best time! Kid friendly, the cabin was amazing! Was not expecting the 2 extra twin beds. Had an awesome mini vacation.
My wife and I went to Idyllwild for our anniversary and stayed here. There is not enough space in this comment box to tell you how wonderful the staff and accommodations were during our stay. We had such a wonderful stay and can't wait to go back soon. Definitely exceeded our expectations. Clean, quiet, and comfortable cabin, short walk to town. Thank you for a great weekend, Idyllwild Inn staff!
In the middle of Idyllwild downtown, it still feels like a cozy and rustic cabin. It's walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. Lisa from front desk went above and beyond to make the whole experience great! Clean room, cute decor, and super reasonably priced for a nice getaway.
Would not refund our deposit, and they had very heavy snows, I am disabled, and on Social Security this was a surprise birthday present from my wife, and they had zero grace even knowing I’m disabled we used to like going there, but will never stay there again
Nice cabins. It was so pretty in the snow. Good place for stay. If I ever go back that will be where we stay.
This was the first time in Idyllwild for my wife and I and we loved this hotel. It was close to so much good food and stores, the rooms were cozy and plenty warm, and the staff was really helpful and accommodating. Very unique, memorable, and a great value for a mountain getaway.
We stayed in a brand new cabin for 2 with a Back deck bathroom jacuzzi, cute refrigerator, no fp, but #13 was charming. Across from the Idyllwild brewery.
Stayed in one of the private cabins offsite. It was about a 10 minute walk to the town center. Nicely placed away from the crowds while being close enough to stroll in for a meal or shopping anytime.
Our cabin was well stocked, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed being able to cook a meal on our own while enjoying a warm fire.
Our stay was quiet and private. Will be coming back.
