IHOP, Indio CA

Went this morning. Said system not working so cash only. We said ok. Then we were told we would be in a waiting list. The restaurant had about 6 people sitting down…basically empty We asked if we could at least sit and have coffee to wait. Was told no. Just unbelievable. Went across the street for breakfast. So did the 6 people behind us. Never again. We should have believed the other bad reviews.

Do not come here. Place smells bad, had to wait for seating with half the tables in the restaurant open, order was completely messed up and hair was found in food.

Tried calling to make an order and got put on hold for 15 minutes. Immediately call again and get put on hold for almost 20MINUTES. Call AGAIN and just flat out get hung up on.

This is a prim and proper IHOP. McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Carl Junior, and Jack in the Box need to send their kitchen staff here to learn how a good hamburger is built.

Very clean and wonderful atmosphere. As soon as we got in was seated right away, we were taken care by Nicole and she was fabulous. Very attentive to everything and always asked if we were okay. Very excellent customer service and Nicole deserves every type of praise.:) Keep it up.

It's very delicious anytime of the day to enjoy a meal specially who you share it with.

Service was VERY slow during my visit. Waited more then half an hour to receive our food. They did applied a 15% discount to my check which was ok.

It's been a while since I last visited this place because of the attitude of the previous rude female manager who could be heard yelling at her staff in a very unprofessional way had a dictatorship type attitude.glad to see her gone and it shows in the service I received.much better visit than the previous one.glad to see things have improved.good visit overall

Never brought our food. We left 45 min after we were sitting.waitresses keep passing by but no food.so.you diced.is this acceptable?

Typical IHOP, wait was 30 minutes, good service, great pancakes, tasty food, reasonable prices.

This IHOP is in a great location. Close to the freeway. Easy access on and off. Plenty of places to eat within this area. But we choose to eat here. And I'm glad we did. The food was fresh and the staff was friendly and attentive to us. We had problems with our bill because the system went down. But because the food was great. The manager said don't worry about it and was going to comp us our meal but felt bad. So we gave the info for us to be charged for our service. Definitely worth the visit. If the staff is this nice, imagine how they care about the food they serve.

Place was very clean. Food was good. Must be short on staff. Waited 15 minutes to be seated in an almost empty restaurant. Took another 15 minutes to get coffee. And so on and so on. If you're not in a hurry, it's perfect.

Horrible service waited an hour to get my food my waiter Nicole took forever to even bring my drinks she got my order wrong I would ask her for something and didn’t come back till 20 min later she was so slow I personally think she shouldn’t even be a waiter.

I needed only to be there for some business matters and the server let me and my associate take care of just that. I only ordered some iced tea. When we were done, I ordered something to go and tipped extra for "both rental". The service (meaning, being basically left alone as we needed after just getting my iced tea and then the server taking care of me after everyone else was gone), was great. The appetizers I ordered to go however left something to be desired: The flavor was there, but so was a lot of excessive grease. And the chicken tenders were not very tender.
I recommend this IHOP if you need a quiet place to take care of business, or just to take your family. And the iced tea was great! But my experience with the food was limited to deep fried appetizers - certainly not their claim to fame. They're IHOP, not IHODFA!

It was really hot and lots of people waiting. Our waitress was trying her best but I think they were short- staffed because she was servicing many tables and we waited awhile for our food. Not because of the waitress but because I think the cooks were overwhelmed. It was a Sunday.

Although this location was short staffed (appeared to be 1 waiter, and a cook), and out of several menu items, employee/waiter Luis did a FANTASTIC job of letting us know what menu items were unavailable in advance. This was done in an informative way, not a deter them from dining here way. Throughout the meal he checked on us several times, and turned the in house music off as it was very loud and combined with our 3 small children we were overwhelmed with noise. Then as we prepared to leave and requested a refill of water and spite he offered to put them in togo cups voluntarily! I found his service to be OUTSTANDING in a world and economy that is short of good employees with a work ethic. I informed him I felt he deserved a raise, but he stated he already planned on finding new employment as it was time for a change. I hope he was an appreciated employee during his time there! Outside of the great service from Luis, the location was large and open compared to the La Quinta location, and felt very clean. Bacon was slightly over cooked, but again I expect the chef was working alone and didn't want to mention it as the rest of the service and food was perfect. Also it was only us and three other tables dining.
