Ike's Love & Sandwiches reviews
14Paul Reuben on Dutch Crunch bread. I’ve only had this…so far, but it’s #1 already for a sub
I love Ike's, I would have it all the time when in NorCal, but I started working nearby and was excited to have an Ike's so close to my office. I went for my first time on a Saturday, got there and there were only a few customers, a group of 4 to be exact, 2 of which already had their orders. As I was getting my order taken I was asked what kind of bread and if I wanted lettuce/tomato twice still waited 30+ minutes for my FOUR ingredient sandwich, finally got my sandwich, get to the office and the whole order was wrong. If the team lacks the fluidity to make a single sandwich I can't imagine the chaos during lunchtime.
2nd time here and I tell ya it's getting me hooked. They have a wide variety of sandwiches from hot, cold and vegetarian. I would definitely recommend this place and the customer service is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Took 32 mins for a tuna sandwich. The bread was dry and apparently, it took that long because out was frozen. Avoid it and save $20 for a sandwich and a drink
Nice guy took my order. Ruben was pretty ok, especially after adding pickles. Good chips. Really good specialty soda. I like the san Diego flair. Great selection of subs. Tight space and noisy indoors for eating, but outside is just steps away. Order took about 5 to 10 min to prepare.
It would be a good idea to review their menu online before entering because they offer tons of specialty sandwiches. The rolls are very soft, and they layer the contents of the sandwiches very well. The Terrell Davis was yummy. They have plenty of tables inside and a few outside. I noticed the order ahead pickup line is on the far right and is not managed consistently, but the wait seemed short. The staff were very friendly.
They may have gotten a new owner or changed some things around, but their sandwiches here have gotten a lot worse. Very disappointed for the price.
INCREDIBLE SANDWICHES and amazing staff. I love this place. I hit it up twice on my trip to San Diego for work.
The staff was helpful with information and very friendly. Good sandwiches. Very nice. Check it out.
BEST SANDWICHES (vegetarian too)
This place recently open where “which wich”used too be. I have tried their Menage A Toris and Meatless mike with dutch crunch bread. Both are awesome. Never had the combination of flavors with such harmony.
Visited again with colleagues and they all loved it. This time I went with “extra dirty” sauce and didn’t regret about it.
It have wide variety of sandwiches with vegan and vegetarian options. Keep it up
Dude retrain your staff. There was less than 10 people in the restaurant and it took well over a half an hour. The issue is you have all these dudes that are too cool to work hard, just walking around looking unbelievably confused. The guys food next to mine was missing cheese and jalapeños. Dude takes the food back throws all of it away and restarts instead of just adding them. Also when you’re told it’s gonna be 5-10 and ends up being 35 minutes. Come on dude! Get in there and retrain these guys. Clueless.
Came in on a Wednesday and was told it would be a 15 min wait.that's fine. However, that wait time ballooned to 45+ mins because they were busy filling what I'm assuming was a catering order. I'd suggest getting those out of the way early so you can serve other costumers. Pretty bad experience on my lunch hour. If you're on a lunch hour order ahead or be prepared to wait.
Only been to the one in Sorrento Valley only had one sandwich the Seth Curry it's really good the white barbecue sauce is awesome the management needs an attitude adjustment and to be honest with you I've been three times twice at lunch once dinner time it's at least 30 to 40 minutes every time that's too long for a sandwich I went in around 8: 30 in the evening order three sandwiches and it still took 25 to 30 minutes the guy forgot to charge me but I did pay for it because karma can be a mean mistress and I'd rather have good karma than bad so I pay for it ($40 bucks)
