Ike's Love & Sandwiches, Vallejo CA

To quote an old commercial, "Where's the beef? " We used to enjoy Ike's, but their food quality and service has gone down. Bread was still good, but they totally skimped on the meat. If I wanted a vegetarian sandwich, I would have ordered one. You only get 1 thin deli slice in the sandwiches. Definitely not worth the $14 you drop. Very sad that they are going down in quality.

I ordered a fried chicken sandwich yesterday with a drink and onion rings I got my onion rings late and soggy like it was deep in oil sauce. I WILL NEVER GET ANYTHING FROM HERE AGAIN! POOR FOOD SERVICE AND SANDWICH WAS NOT GOOD EITHER THE CHICKEN WAS NOT FRIED IT WAS SOGGY WITH ALL THE LETTUCE AND NASTY!

Just witnessed a horrible experienced where an associate was extremely aggressive to a young black man. The associate actually got in the customers face talking aggressively! I won’t be coming here again seems at if there is a little racial discrimination going on! Do not eat here! I will be talking to corporate about the behavior I just witnessed it was unacceptable in this community!

The Halal sandwiches itself always hits the spot but the services can be very slow. If you order online sometimes there systems don’t work and or over the phone it takes forever to reach someone to make the order.

First visit to Ike's was good. The sandwiches were ok, but customer service THAT 1st time was great that we decided to come back again the next week. 2nd visit will unfortunately be the LAST. I don't know what was going on with the staff that evening of October 11th, but the welcoming experience and good customer skills we got the previous week were just not there this last time. Lady at counter never greeted us, we stood at counter for several mins before she even came to counter, stared at us and said nothing until we said hi. She was repeatedly distracted, socializing w co-worker in food prep area, and it seemed WE the customers were interrupting their good time. As we tried to start telling her our order, she would continue talking to coworker in back, All the while we were in mid-sentence trying to continue telling her our order, cutting uss off when she continued talking w coworker in the back. Frankly it was just strange, odd behavior. This time our sandwich order was missing items and bread was never toasted as requested as well, so that also sealed it for both of us. It's unfortunate because although the product was overall ok, the experience was NOT this time, and that's part of good business too. Consistency is key, but it just wasn't there on our 2nd visit. At least we tried the famous Ike's shop twice.

Delicious vegan sandwiches, well made by friendly staff. I will keep going back because there are very few vegan choices in Vallejo and Benicia. Can recommend the Bulgogi Beef.

Josh and Eva are some nice individuals, with good customer service. The Sorry Charlie and Mac Dre sandwich are my favorites.

I placed an order through Uber eats and the majority of the order was incorrect. I ordered the Matt Cain wirh red onions, pickles, banana peppers and jalapeños; made it a combo with starry soda and voodoo heat chips. I also ordered a strawberry calypso.

What I received
The Matt Cain contains 3 types of meats which you wouldn't be able to tell because they were so skimpy with all 3 of them was missing the banana peppers on half the sandwich and the jalapeños were missing completely. Instead of starry soda I received what tasted like a flavored ice tea but had no ice. Instead of the strawberry calypso I received a mango jarritos. The chips were the only part of the order that was 100% correct.
It's unbelievable that an order of 4 items could be so wrong.

Good sandwich, but it wasn't what I ordered. Supposed to have vegan fried chicken, had some kind of sliced turkey instead. I'm fine with substitutions, but no one at the counter said anything.

Side note, if you're going to offer vegan options, how about you don't put caramel pops in the bag. ¯_ (ツ) _/¯ Will not be returning.

Maybe u have to go in to get a good experience. Takeout was AWFUL! This was the NASTIEST sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Every order was messed up. I will not eat hear again. Huge disappointment

Love these sandwiches! Tiffany & crew at the Vallejo store are always so nice and fast with our order when we show up at the store.

Completely disappointed. The store is a mess as are the workers. Took 35 minutes to get our order, fries were soggy, sandwich was poorly made, no ice for the soda. We will not be back which is sad, the location in AZ was amazing.

First time here and Tiffany walked us thru a few of her favorites. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The sandwiches were huge and very tasty. I'll go back to try more on the menu.

Ordered delivery and received a sloppy sandwich that wasn’t made to order. I asked for modifications- including additional items and removed items. I have allergies, I’m not just being difficult. The sandwich came with all items I asked to be removed, and the additional items were on the side. It’s like I ordered a premade sandwich. Y’all are way too lazy to be taken seriously.

This place has gone down hill considerably. The menu is hard to read with all of their alterations they have made, the employees have obviously not been properly trained or just don't care. Ordered 2 sandwiches both of which came with fried chicken, wasn't until we ordered the 2nd one we were told by a different employee that they were out of fried chicken, the girl at the register had no clue. It's impossible to hear anything, with the loud fans and music they need to speak up. Also sandwiches were poorly prepared and wrapped, lettuce all over the place, sauce only in certain places, barely any meat on either of the sandwiches. The Dutch crunch bread was soft (no crunch at all like before) and creased as if something had been sitting on top the bread before we ordered it. I used to love coming here when I would come back to the bay area, but I will not be going back to this location.
