Il Fornaio, Burlingame CA

I certainly liked the dishes and service, great location very close to where I live. The workers are always nice. Will visit here again.

We just about gave up finding takeout for an occasion as special as New Year's Eve, until we tried Il Fornaio in Burlingame. Their 4-course Festa di Capodanno meal was solutely delicious and typical of their unmatched value.

Waited for 10mins and me and my daughter never acknowledged.walked out and went to eat else were!

The service and the food was excellent. It is a large establishment with outdoor dining a bar area and a large dining space. The menu was big enough so everyone could have what they liked.

The food was just amazing! Respect to the chefs! (That's considering that I actually lived in Italy for a while and dined in high-end restaurants there)

Good food, the server had a full stations but kept pace with every table he was serving. The pasta was al dente, the seafood appetizer had the calamari that was a bit burnt, nice clean ambience with lots of natural light. Can be a great place for a date or a casual dinner. We had a couple of affogatos for dessert, make sure to skeep the whipped cream if you ask for one.

No wonder the other locations closed. In the begining this restaurant was great until like everything else in the bay area.resort to high prices just to keep up and loose eventually.

This is our family Italian restaurant! Carmine and Julio are our family waiters. The Italian is the best! We eat here at least 5 times a season! You should too! Try the veal!

Went In for dinner, very spacious and brightly lit (not for a date or a romantic dinner). Order the Ravioli and seafood dish.food was good, not the best but value for money.some of the service staff, were friendly but a bit forgetful about the orders. (place was not busy so no excuses). Most staff don't seem to keep an eye on the customers and tend to walk past without looking so you really need to get there attentions.

This restaurant features cuisine of a different region of Italy every month. If you go there during six consecutive months (Jan-Jun or Jul-Dec) and get your loyalty card (pasaporto) stamped, you can turn it in for a raffle whose prize is a trip for two to Italy, so I go monthly to one or another restaurant of this chain.

The Burlingame venue is my favorite. It is large, the dishes are consistently good, staff is professional, and parking is easy.

My salmon was under done and they did not take it off the billlove the place, pretty disappointed. We go there frequently.

The menus is just ok. The wine prices are way to high. The food was fine but not spectacular. The service for the price they charge is sub par.

A nice upscale italian place.the bar is great, the dinner is expertly prepared, mostly in house.expect $30+ a head for dinner. Wish they would let me pour my own olive oil and basalmic for my bread.there was so much oil on my plate the US tried at coup with a puppet government.

Despite the upscale location, I wasn't expecting much out of IL Formaio. I was very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food quality and presentation was top notch.

Really delicious food. We ordered basically everything on the menu and really enjoyed the food. The service was a bit unorganized, it took us a while to sit and the food took even longer to come. They seemed to be understaffed.

This chain has gone down a lot, really bad food and off taste, way overpriced. I won't go there again even if they offer a free meal

Real italian feel with real italian fare, hard to find your traditional italian meal as most of them have a little something extra that felt very italian, but great food nonetheless
