Il Fornaio Woodland Hills

This was my first time there, the food was outstanding, probably the best service I have ever had. Will be going back.

Excellent Italian restaurant, cozy environment, very attentive and kind staff, very good pizza too! Definitely recommend!

My girlfriends and I had our weekly lady’s catch up. We’re always trying new places and this time we stumbled upon il fornaio. We had a lovely experience with our server Natalia. She was quick with amazing recommendations and was not pushy with timing as we like to chat and catch up. A big thank you to the whole staff.thank you chef edwin for the delicious food and being so polite and charming. We will be back.

Food is excellent but why would you charge a 3% benefits surcharge? So the customer is paying for the employee's 401k? That's ridiculous

For a lovely day out, this is a great choice. The reason is that you can have authentic Italian favorites! Pizza came out the way I enjoy, thin crust and desirable toppings. Calamari was the best I've ever had. Bread is amazing. Im giving a generous 3 star on the food, because everything was there but execution on the pasta. We ordered 6ish, I believe 1 person ate and enjoyed it all. Also, my dad's ravioli came out cold. Being Italian, I do believe this should be the easiest part. I'm craving that pizza again!

The AMATRICIANA pasta was extremely salty and the sauce tasted weird.

Pollo ai Funghi- the chicken was very dry. Rest of the dish was pretty good. But the dry chicken ruined it.

Lastly, Braciola di Maiale the pork tasted very…. Porky if that makes any sense. I understand it is a pork chop but it had a somewhat funk taste to it. We’ve been here before and the food isn’t all that at all. The service is so so. I think it’s mostly the hype of it being an Italian restaurant.

We waited for about 20min for anyone to even come to our table because all staff was having a meeting? … def wouldn’t come back and wouldn’t recommend.

From entering Il Fornaio, the ambiance begins with the warm smiles of the Host, servers, manager and the rest of the staff roaming around. Oscar and I love to frequent the bar because it’s more alive and interesting. All the bar tenders are wonderful and know how to personalize what we desire to compliment our food. The place is kept impeccably clean. When you have the ambiance this fantastic, the food is so delicious along with the presentations of dishes that are so inviting and served with warmth and accuracy, Oscar and I know for sure it will be a perfect evening!

I recently engulfed in a fantastic dining experience with my wife and parents at the ill Fornaio in Woodland Hills. The manager Mikala seated us and continued to check with us on our satisfaction with the meal and service. We assured her that Ruben had been very attentive and we indeed enjoyed our great dinner. The Duck Head wine, martini, old fashioned, and cosmo were very well made. The meal selections and deserts also made a terrific contribution to our family dining experience. Hope that you too will enjoy a nought out with family and friends at this wonderful restaurant. Cheers

I had forgotten how good Il Fornaio (Woodland Hills) is until last night when my husband and I went there for our anniversary! We have moved away from the area so hadn't been there in a while. Our waiter, Juan A.was warm, attentive and helpful. And the food was delicious (I highly recommend the Ravioli Limone!) and the wine list is extensive. The atmosphere is lovely and inviting as well. It's reasonably priced and friendly. Greeted warmly at the front, and, as I said, the waiter (Juan A.) was also warm and sweet. All around, it made for a nice place to celebrate our anniversary!

Came here for my anniversary because I couldn’t get a sitter and it’s not overly fancy to where I can’t bring my kid.

I booked a table at 5: 45 and was asked to wait even though there was so many empty tables. Annoying, but not the end of the world.

Our waiter had zero energy- but again not the end of the world, but annoying. When I need to ask to have water refilled, it just bothers me, but whatever.

Our table was full of nats, and flys. I killed 3 of them. Did they leave the window open at night?

What really did bother me was the food. My kid ordered a cheese pizza from the kids menu. Came out fine. I ordered a steak medium and it was closer to medium well plus or well done. And it lacked flavor. Peppercorn sauce was average.

Ceasar salad was soaked in dressing. Less maybe better? The carpaccio was sooo bland! My wife ordered bolognese and I tried a bite. Very undercooked and flavorless. My wife hated it but was so hungry that she forced her way to finish it. She threw some red pepper flakes on it to give it life! We ordered tiramisu which was decent… after our meal I asked the check, and the entire time there was zero acknowledgment that it was our anniversary (I put this on open table) … but then what happens? ! My wife, starts to look very pale, and goes to the bathroom. She takes the next 15 mins throwing up her dinner. I know that pasta was not good at all.

Such a bad experience! I complained to the manager who asked me if I paid the bill: I said yes… I then just stopped him and left… not worth my energy to fight for my money back. I learned a $234 lesson to never come back to IL Forbaio.

Updated to 2 stars today - manager called me and offered full refund, spoke to staff, and offered to make it up if I ever came back.
Was appreciative of this classy gesture.

The grilled branzino and chicken risotto were overcooked, dry, and served cold. Additionally, the potatoes were gummy and unappetizing. After experiencing these issues, I contacted the manager, Chris, the following day. Although I expressed my concerns, his response was simply, 'Thank you for bringing it to my attention.

Loved everything about our dinner here! Excellent service, amazing food. Moscato was on point. Even little things like constant ice water refills made for a great experience.

This is a wonderful authentic Italian restaurant! Thanks to Natalia for making our dinner much more memorable due to her service. I thought the caesar salad could use a bit more dressing however it was still tasty! Amazing, delicious and fresh food!

Great Italian resto. Their pizzas and other plates are probably the best in their category

Went there during a week day for a business dinner with a group of 12. The setup was excellent, atmosphere was nice and not too noisy, was actual possible to have a good discussion even with people across the table. The waitress (Viviana) was very watchful and knowledgeable about the food and drinks. Food was fresh and really good. Probably the best restaurant in the village to host a professional yet relaxing dinner

The General Manager, Jessica and the Assistant Manager, Cheli, were beyond amazing. Our server, Tyler, was awesome. Thanks for making my birthday celebration wonderful.
