Imani Robert MD reviews
6Dr. Imani great, been seeing him for a few months now. Melissa has lied about calling and responding. When confronted she just sits there and lies. Several voicemails have been left with no follow up and when I have spoken to Melissa she always says she will find out and call back and NEVER does. With all do respect it’s called organization. They need to better manage this, because I can see from the reviews am not the only one. When people are dealing with mental health you cannot have this! It took 2 weeks to finally get through and an appointment for the first initial visit. Maybe have more receptionist and better train Melissa and document things better because I had the proof on my phone never received any calls from her and the voicemails left never answered.
Dr Imani is extremely knowledgeable, excellent at diagnosis and shows an interest in each of his patients. We are very grateful for him!
I arrived alongside a pharma rep with a box full of goodies for this doctor, filled out my paperwork on a Zoloft clipboard, and then sat and listened to him, with a shelf full of pharma samples in a glass case behind his head, as he told me I shouldn't stop the meds that were causing mood swings, and that I needed to be on "some form of medication". This man is a bought and paid for pill-pusher, and doesn't care about the wellbeing of his patients
I saw Dr. Imani for the first time last week and he was amazing to me. However I had 2 questions after leaving him. I called the office and asked if Dr. Imani would beable to give me documentation stating my diagnosis he gave me so I can submit to my primary doctor. Receptionist stated she will see if he would be OKAY with doing that for me. So I said fine let me know she said if he does I can pick it up in 24hours. The next day I get my prescriptions and the instructions were different from what Dr. Imani and I discussed. I’m already extremely nervous about taking medications I have never took before so I called the receptionist again asking about the follow up for the letter which she said he’s been busy hasn’t viewed it yet then I asked if she can add about which medication he asked me to take once a day for the 1st week. She states the instructions are on the label for you. Yea I understand that but as I stated he wanted me to try one of the medications once a day for the first week and. I totally forgot which one. She said she would add this question for him as well this was last Wednesday today is Monday. So I call right now asking for them to cancel my future appointment and when she asked if I would like to reschedule I stated due to no call backs regarding 2 questions I had with the Dr I no longer wish to proceed seeing him she said ok thank you! I have read the reviews before coming however a lot of times reviews come from people who do not get their way and there’s more to it but in this situation I will agree with many the receptionists need to like their job more and be more helpful especially dealing with people who have certain problems with mental health like myself. I give 1 star due to the doctor being amazing to me.
It's really unfortunate when you've seen a psychiatrist for so long, but the staff entirely ruins your experience. Once you meet with Dr. Imani, he will let you know a time frame that he would like to see you back. He says the staff at the front desk will call you back to schedule an appointment. They never do, they just put you in for whatever time and expect you to know when it comes up. The office does have text alerts, so for a while, I didn't mind it, until the staff stopped sending out alerts. Now it is the patient's fault for missing an appointment they had no prior knowledge of. If that said appointment is when you run out of medication, you will be unmedicated until they can get you in, which staff loves to immediately say is a month out, until you advocate for yourself and they LOOK for sooner appointments. The office 'closes' at 5, but you will be hung up on starting at 4. If you see the doctor in person, you wait in the office past 6pm. Dr. Imani has heard the complaints of his staff, but he will tell you to come in to schedule an appointment if they do not assist you.
Dr. Imani is a fantastic psychiatrist, just be ready to have the most disrespectful front desk staff experience.
