The gym itself was alright and I was having a great experience until I relocated and could no longer go to the gym so I was planning to cancel but I saw that for the yearly subscription you have to pay $125 to cancel and I didn’t have that kind of money at the time so I had a meeting with the manager to talk about my situation and he told me that I could put my account on hold and would only be charged $5 a month until my subscription ended and I didn’t need to pay the full amount just the $5 each month and the $30 at the end of the year but then I was charged $50 for some annual fee and made a call to in shape making sure I’m only going to still be paying the $5 and they told me that I would be only paying $5 but they told me that I’m just building up money that I’m going to have to pay at the end the full amount of the yearly subscription! And when I told them about the meeting I had with the manager they told me that there’s no avoiding the fee. So why didn’t they just tell me that in the first place and why did they tell me to freeze my account so in reality I’m paying extra while freezing my account so instead I cancel fully a few months later and pay $140 and I was told by a worker that my account was at zero and that I owe nothing to them any longer but two days later I was charged again! I was charged for 17 days for the gym and I called saying if I can get a refund bc I’m not going to be able to go and they told me that I will not be getting a refund. They have taken so much money from my bank account and when I try to talk about the transactions they made it’s always a different story. They do not care about their customers and it’s a waste of money. If you wanna join this gym good luck because you’re basically going to be getting fee after fee for everything as soon as you join. Worst experience ever

This club is Awesome! The entire staff is Awesome! And Kudos to the manager Matt for doing an Amazing job!

Love the workers, they’re helpful and friendly. Overall a good gym. The reason for 3 stars is that many machines are down especially treadmills.

I’ve been coming here for 11 years! Great machines and atmosphere. It can be crowded at times but overall great gym! Best in PORTERVILLE.

Way too many machines down one guy closes the spa and pool every time he’s in no matter what in the early hours why am i being punished for coming in early

In-Shape is a nice place to workout and the people are friendly and the classes are fun and helpful and the equipment works great and the place is always clean the manager Matthew and the staff are great people.

I've only been going to this gym for a short time and it is a great gym but it does need to have personal trainers available. I would also like to give kudos to one of your team members who works at the front desk his name is Berat he is always so kind and very helpful in showing me how to use the equipment and answering all my questions thank you Berat!

Pros: Nice gym and friendly environment.

Cons: People workingout in pajamas and crocs. Broken machines stay broken. Spider web in bathrooms. Gum on machine.

Otherwise, does the job.

Been a member of this gym for 18 years. Sinced being acquired by another company they have doubled the price for my membership. Spoke to the manager very nice guy however said there's nothing he can do. I spoke to other members that are also grandfathered in and there still paying the same price. Cant get a hold of corporate as they no longer have a number. Also they don't respond to there email support tickets. Very disappointed member.

It’s a pretty good gym with a friendly atmosphere. Only thing is that it’s extremely crowded at times. Best to avoid going from 4-8 which is half their hours but it is what it is. It’s also a little pricey for what it is. Personal opinion but get a feel for yourself and try it out.

I love that they have a kids zone! It’s very convenient at times and my girls always enjoy their time there. All the staff is kind and very friendly! They’re always ready to help if we have any questions or concerns.
