Indian Cove Campground reviews
13 The rooms & accommodations are only what you make of it. You're camping
For my son to be able to get married in his childhood happy place was so perfect!
Our first time camping here and we couldn't be happier. You're nestled between hills of rocks that Procter the from wind and provide the most beautiful backdrop.
Campsites are still grouped together but we didn't feel too claustrophobic, then again there was only another camper in a van in our camp cluster. Some sites are fairly spacious and can fit a few tents while others are small and can only fit one. Unfortunately the photos on the site are difficult to determine which is which. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table, and grill.
The restrooms do not have running water. There are toilet seats but no flushable toilets. However the one we were at was very clean.
There are a few short hikes in the area. We tried the nature trail next to the campground and took tons of pictures, read all the signage's you learn if the foliage.
We wanted to come to Joshua Tree to see some stars but the moon was very bright during our stay.
During the day we saw lots of rock climbers which was rather neat.
We brought our 21' trailer here and it was perfect. Campground only has restrooms and trash, so must bring your own water. Our campsite (48) was pretty tight for us, but there were a ton of better spots that would've been easier to park. It was rainy/windy for most of the night, which was nice to have the trailer. Location of the campground is great, equal distance to both sides of the park, nature trail just south of the campground.
Great Joshua tree camping if you're with a crowd. The sites are huge and tons of privacy.
Nice spot in among the rocks. Was super windy tho so couldn't fully enjoy all it had to offer.
Set in a wonderland of scrambled rocks, this campground far exceeded my expectations. Be sure to walk (or drive) to the parking area for the nature trail, where in addition to the nature trail down to the right you'll find a wide path uphill leading to a grand bowl in the rocks, where it's easy to wander around the beautiful cacti and yucca and imagine yourself in an indian encampment, which is perhaps the reason for the name "Indian Cove". Bring your own water to camp since this is a dry camp, but no need to go overboard on containers since there's water available to refill them at the ranger post on the drive up to the campground.
It was very clean no trash, vaults were also clean, I would definitely make another trip. Make sure you reserve a spot well worth it
We really liked our little campsite among the rocks! The campsites are rather close together and there’s not a lot of privacy, but it’s a beautiful place to stay! Keep an eye out for tarantulas!
We stayed at site 005. Beautiful campground and location. The ground was very hard at our site so it is good to bring a mallet if you're pitching a tent.
Captain's Log Stardate 47634.44: while visiting Joshua Tree I decided to make a lesser known stop at a place called "Indian Cove. " The scenery and atmosphere is absolutely amazing. Peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful. Tons of area to hike, climb and camp.
A great destination for those who don't like big crowds and want theor privacy.
Pretty bad this time camp.
Can't park 21' classB van.
We got a small rv site 26.
That's it. Came down to other rv park. Lost two nights fee.
Lots of awesome camping areas to choose from. All have their own fire pit and grill.and picnic area. Lots of rocks and areas to climb and hike through. Plenty to explore here and always peaceful, safe and quiet
