Iron & Ink Tattoo Studios, Los Angeles

Hana Kaki is the best up-and-coming illustrative tattoo artist in Los Angeles. I had the opportunity to spend two full days with her and the Iron and Ink crew; I could not ask for a better experience. Hana is kind, humorous, caring, and incredibly talented. Anyone would be lucky to have work done by her. The shop is comfortable and well-designed. The shop manager, Vicki, is warm and always looks to make every client comfortable. She also makes a mean vegan hot chocolate, which I highly recommend. Every artist at the shop is talented beyond belief, but more importantly, they are passionate and deeply care for everyone who comes through the door. 100% will be back soon for more work, if for no other reason than to hang out with the incredible group that makes this studio one of the best in LA.

I randomly walked in and got out with a tattoo! Very good service, very clean and lot of attention to the tattoo request. The artist who worked on my tattoo, Seven, did a wonderful work!

Got a tattoo here in April 2022 from visiting artist. Great work. Front desk chick both times was super annoying and wish I didn’t have to deal with her. They need a better face for business I was going to spend more money here but front desk chick was annoyed I came in 15 min before closing for a consultation. I was just trying to make an appointment. Go elsewhere bad vibes

I feel like making a fraudulent charge claim to my cc company

1. They made a mistake scheduling my in person consultation. They told me 9am then 11am. I settled for a video consultation at 10am which was the same day as my tat appointment

2. Lawrance showed up 20-30 mins late for my appointment.

3. When Lawrence finished setting things up I was told that I didn't checking in so I couldn't get started yet. They kept having issues sending me the contract to check in so it took an additional 20 minutes. Mind you I was in the lobby for over an hour prior to being told I didn't check in. I even greeted the person in the front and told them the time of my appointment and artist.

4. Lawrance either didn't do the sketch we spoke about during my consultation or he lied about forgetting his tablet and only outlined the simplest tattoo I send as inspiration YET proceeded to charge me $800 to which he said someone told him would be the prize of my tattoo when initially I was told that it would be $600-$700

5. I got the stencil place crooked on the center of my back and Lawrance tried to play it off as if that's just the way it is "because of the curve of a back" you would think that after the extended wait and lack of preparation AND him saying if anything is wrong to let him know and he'll fix it that he would've at least tried to make me happy and say no problem instead of trying to make me feel like an idiot.

I was content after the tattoo was over thinking it was nice but the longer I looked at it the angrier I got because its as good as someone that just finished their apprenticeship if that.

If it were to have been $500 I would've maybe understood considering its not small but it's also not a very large tattoo. He took less than 2 hours to complete the tattoo it was a ripoff. The line work is so thin that it doesn't even look like its going to hold up for more than 5 years if that.

2 stars only cuz I've seen worse and at least he offered weed (which I dont smoke) water and/or coffee

Lim was amazing. He understood my vision and executed it perfectly! Everybody at the studio were extremely friendly and the communication and guidance from Victoria was very professional and helpful. Thank you for a great tattoo experience!

My artist was Raa and let me tell you it was horrible. Not only did he agree to a tattoo concept I had that he knew he couldn’t deliver on. But he was also fired or something happened then there was a lot of misunderstandings because of the unprofessionalism of the manager and Raa both trying to schedule an appointment with me. I was also given different amounts to pay it seemed very disorganized here. And I’m still left with an unfinished piece because both the artist and shop couldn’t finish it. I wouldn’t recommend this place because they have no problem charging 1500 or 1400 but when it came to the work it’s not worth that much for how little they actually did.

Lawrence was amazing! Great custom art, always made sure I was comfortable (4 hr session) and explained the healing process in more detail than other artists have given me before.

Lawrence did absolutely no prep before our appointment and was insistent on pushing his ideas onto my tattoo concept. He was very stubborn in listening to what I wanted and instead insisted on doing what he wanted on my body. When further describing my concept he kept refusing, saying “I don’t do bad tattoos. ” After cancelling, i was told I could not receive my deposit back, and Lawrence refused to provide me the sketch he had made during our session. So I essentially paid him $400 to draw a leaf, and I didn’t even get to keep it. I won’t be returning and I don’t recommend him as an artist if you have a specific design in mind, because he refuses to listen or compromise. If you want his original work, then he is a great pick.

Me and my Boyfriend went in today to get tattoos. We were very impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the skill of the artists. We got tattooed by Hana Kaki, and we LOVED the finished tattoos! I would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the market for a high quality tattoo.

My tattoos are so wonderful and everyone is so nice but my nipple piercing is too far back and can cause problems so i took it out
