Irvine Auto Repair reviews
20 I would rate this place 10 stars if i could!
Julio and his team are straight up amazing and most of all Honest. I brought my 2016 Camaro in for a possible starter issue and alignment.
90 minutes later, he calls and says the cables had a bit of corrosion on em but no need to replace the starter, and the car drives straight, so there is no need for alignment either.
I was dreading this and expected to pay at least in the $500 and up range, and the total bill was $56.
This place could have easily taken advantage of me, but instead, they used integrity and honesty, and now they have a customer for life!
Thank you so much for being an AAA+ business and doing what was needed.
Ronnie is very experienced and helpful! Work is done efficiently and quickly by his guys! Thanks Ronnie for always helping me out!
They mark up parts by 100% or more. Charges $150 a simple diagnostic but failed to fix the problem because there is something more that needs to be fixed and will cost more $$. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they did not even bother to respond.
I went in to get my car fixed. They quoted me 2 times more than every other place. The guy was super rude and ignored us and walked away from us multiple times as we are talking. I do not want to give this person business at all.
These guys do a great job. Ive used them for multiple vehicles for a few years. Ive always found them to be honest, reasonably priced and professional. They have a sense of urgency about getting your car up and running for you asap which I really appreciate.
This is a dark shop! I changed the spark plug it charged around $500 only labor fees! Even so, They ignored my tire pressure problem when I picked up the car! Told me the tire pressure was fine, I got on the freeway. My tire pressure showed abnormal, I came back to ask him what was wrong, he said needed the tire pressure sensor, to change four over $300! Then I asked another store my sensor is no problem.just add some air! Especially the one wear the glasses, and his arrogant attitude! Didn't check it and even lied to me!
Exceptional Service for a Vintage Jeep at Irvine Auto Repair!
I had the pleasure of experiencing top-notch service at Irvine Auto Repair when my trusty 20+ years old Jeep WRANGLER needed some serious attention – a brand-new radiator! From the moment I contacted them to when I drove my revitalized Jeep off their lot, the entire experience was nothing short of outstanding.
Upon my initial call, I gave them a heads-up about my Jeep's condition, and they were ready to assist. In an impressive turnaround of just 3 hours, their skilled team thoroughly assessed the situation, identified the necessary parts, and provided me with a precise estimate for the entire repair. Ronnie and his crew were exceptional in addressing my queries and concerns, which made me feel confident in entrusting them with my vehicle.
The transformation of my Jeep was like clockwork. Ronnie and his team seamlessly removed the old, ailing parts and expertly installed the new ones. Remarkably, they had my Jeep road-ready by the end of the day. During my visit, Ronnie generously took the time to pop open the hood and meticulously walk me through the repairs. Everything looked impeccable, and I left with the assurance that my Jeep could easily conquer another +100k miles.
I can't express enough gratitude to Irvine Auto Repair for being the undisputed champions in the world of mechanics. Whether it's a routine oil change, a major overhaul like a new radiator, or just a mysterious noise emanating from your dashboard, Irvine Auto Repair is the place to go. They've won me over as a customer for life, and I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone in need of top-tier automotive care.
New to the area and after driving 1000 miles pulling a Uhaul trailer, my Jeep GC had an engine warning light and needed some attention. And I needed to get it CA smog tested. The local Jeep dealership was booking out 5 months LOL.did some googling and found Irvine Auto Repair close to my apartment complex. Gave them a try.
They are very fast with the SMOG tests.did while I waited.
Went back some days later due to warning light.turns out I needed a new radiator from the 1000 mile towing I did. They did that same day, good price. Dealership would have been at least 2X for this job.
Had to go back other time for a switch - the left turn signal would not turn off.did it while I waited, good price.
Now am back to have other servicing done - brakes, oil, etc.
The shop so far has earned my repeat business.
Horrible is the best word to describe their service. I called them in advance told them what I need for my car. They gave me the repair estimate. I booked an appointment to take my car for the service. I asked a friend to be there at same time to give me a ride back BUT when I got there they didn't know what I was talking about! They finally found my name BUT they told me that they didn't have manpower to do the job! I said so you won't be able to do it? They said we do it BUT you have to replace the whole thing! BUT! The whole thing was way more than what I was supposed to pay! They did not mention that over the phone and they didn't even check the car to come up with that conclusion! So! My friend and I had to travel 15 miles back to work with two different cars and these people did not even show any concern and did not offer an apology.
I had to get my AC fixed so I called a bunch of places in Irvine to get a quote. Irvine Auto Repair had the most reasonable prices, had an appointment the very next day and sounded very professional so it was an easy choice. I'm glad I took my car there. They were great about fixing it and keeping me updated. I was even told to bring my car back if the problem reappeared.
I would highly recommend them for the reasonable price and great service.
Plus there are a bunch of places to eat and drink within walking distance while you wait for your car to get back up and running.
Got the job done fast however when I went to get my smog check, the technician said that my oil cap was missing. Unluckily he found it but if he didn’t I would have paid for a new one and paid another for another check. How could something so simple be missed? I wonder what else they skipped over or forgot to do.
Irvine Auto Repair is one of the best mechanic repair shops in Orange County. Three things stand out at Irvine Auto Repair: 1. They are honest. 2. They have excellent technicians/mechanics who consistently do the little extras (i.e, check fuses, top-off fluids, etc.) to keep your vehicle running smoothly. 3. Their estimates are easily understood, and their prices are fair. I have recommended several friends and family members to Irvine Auto Repair, and every time, each person agrees they will return here for their future repairs and services. 5 out of 5 stars!
Ryan was incredibly helpful, honest, and knowledgeable. I’ll be bringing my car back here again and again - the customer service and expertise is unmatched.
I had the rear brake pads replaced at their shop. Before that, I had the front brake pads replaced elsewhere. Surprisingly, the front brake pads are still in good condition, but the rear ones have already worn out. It appears that they installed low-quality brake pads on my vehicle!
Sadly a lack of quality controls/checks leaves things missed that you have to come back to repair when all it took was a quick check to verify a rear window that had controls reversed when I got it back. I had to take it back for a fix to get it right. Disappointing.
UPDATE: They got me in the next day and resolved the window issue. I appreciate they monitor reviews and work to resolve any issues quickly. He's been at this location for 20+ years so the shop is doing something right. I would recommend this place and will continue giving them my business.
Well trusted mechanics very friendly honest and reliable
I been taking my cars to this shop for years and always did a great jobs
Ronnie is one of the friendliest and honest mechanic
Had my car battery tested and replaced. Very friendly staff, great experience overall and very timely in response and repair, would recommend.
The main guy had an attitude and wasted my time with providing an estimate. Quite unimpressed.
Irvine Auto Center is a great automotive repair shop! They are very honest, have great repair technicians and their prices are very fair! Ronnie is an Outstanding manager, super honest and he really cares for their customers! I plan to use this shop in the future for all my cars!
I was blown away by the Owners Ethics! I have a 2011 Tahoe Hybrid that has just about 170,000 miles on it. I purchased it Brand New in 12/2010. I take VERY VERY good care of my cars and tend to everything that is required without delay ever!
I had to get ALL my Oil Seals and Gaskets replaced because of oil leaks given the wear and tear of the Seals and Gaskets.: (
This service also requires draining the Transmission Fluid, Oil and Coolant of course. He gave a VERY good price! Most of all I really felt great about the owner whom has been there for 20 years which says ALOT! I ALSO felt he and his mechanics ACTUALLY care about all vehicles that come in! And I was definitely CORRECT!
The owner initially thought (and I), of course, the Coolant would have to be replaced, given these repairs but the mechanic was able to overt this because he saw it was very clean and probably was recently serviced; which it was 12,000 miles ago by the dealership! This saved me $138.24 because of the mechanics and owners Acknowledgment, Hard Work, and Ethics!
They did this Major Repair and Replaced a Window Motor, all in 3 days which includes ordering all the parts! He was thinking it was going to be 4-5 days; he used the side of caution of time, given he is a responsible business owner.
The Owner and the Mechanics have earned my trust! What is there without TRUST! These guys are transparent and operate with integrity as you have read!
Thank you sooooo much Ronnie and your Crew!
