Horrible people

The vets were not sympathetic and not helpful with our situation they made me feel like I was wasting their time and especially with having to put my dog down and they prioritized pricing before actually taking action when we asking if we can talk about prices after they said no and said they would not even check up on her until we paid, and especially when my dog was visibly ill and needed immediate help. They also just prioritized money In general, at a time when I wanna see my dog before I have to put her down they bring out urn catalogs and saying we HAVE to buy one if I wanted her cremated and wouldn’t bring her out until we did so, don’t bring your baby here -1000/10
I miss my dog so much and I felt like there was something this veterinarian hospital could do but was just more in over their heads about the money I hate this place with all my heart please reconsider a different vet hospital

Our dog Rockefeller was experiencing intestinal distress. We called ahead and the office administrator was very nice. Upon arrival, we were checked in and soon saw a technician to complete the intake forms. It was decided to give our dog an X-ray along with additional instructions. Everyone we encountered was helpful and knowledgeable. The facility is well run and professionally staffed. I highly recommend this hospital. Thank you!

Would not recommend for small animals. The vets are nice. In the midst of my stress over how my hamster was doing, it was nice to hear the things I wanted to hear. Dr. Bobula was all smiles and easy to trust, but sadly upon retrospect, I realize that does not mean I should ever have gone here or paid the sums that I did. Dr. Bobula did not know what was going on with my hamster. Even when it was a small lump with some discharge, they didn't really want to inspect. Their reasons seemed solid, it could be risky to inspect closer, so she gave us some antibiotics she hoped would deal with it, saying "it'll either fix itself or it won't. " That, mixed with just enough "yeah that's a good sign! " whenever I laid out what my optimistic but not informed observations on my hamster's condition, meant I would walk home feeling relieved. But end of day, they didn't know what was going on and because it was a hamster, they didn't want to know. Further visits, all the docs seemed just as confused as ever. If you have a hamster, go anywhere else.

Dr. Pokard is a joke and didn't care about the well being of our family parrot jalapeño. She was quick to charge us but took 7 hours to perform the actual surgery which resulted in him passing away. If you care about your pets don't take them here especially with her.

I took my pet duck to this veterinary clinic a few days ago due to a sudden severe illness. The symptoms were alarming, including difficulty breathing, bulging eyes, and a neck arched backwards, leading to an inability to stand – all signs pointing towards a severe neurological condition. However, the vet hastily determined it might be avian influenza, and directly suggested euthanasia without conducting any thorough diagnosis.

Despite my initial confusion over their conclusion, I agreed to their suggestion given the safety concerns for my children at home and the vet’s strong recommendation. However, my wife disagreed with this decision, insisting that we shouldn’t give up on our pet’s life that easily. Persuaded by her words, I began to waver and informed the vet that we didn’t agree to euthanize.

At this point, the vet used the severity of avian flu and the potential incurability of my duck’s condition to convince me once again to choose euthanasia. I felt extremely troubled and fearful and eventually conceded to their suggestion. During this process, they charged me a consultation fee of 200 RMB but didn’t provide any substantive treatment suggestions, merely repeating the recommendation for euthanasia.

In the end, we decided to take our duck home no matter what. On our way home, I noticed an improvement in the duck’s condition. After administering some specific medication at home, the duck recovered quickly. Now, four days later, our duck is very healthy.

This veterinary clinic suggested euthanasia haphazardly without identifying the exact disease, demonstrating a highly irresponsible attitude with no regard for the value of life. I hope all pet owners can see my review, be aware of such behavior, and choose their pet’s doctor wisely.

My partner and I brought in our green-cheek conure as an emergency visit and the staff was absolutely lovely - kind, caring, and really good at keeping us updated. So much compassion for the owners and their pets.

Also - they provide snacks, tea, coffee, and water for anyone waiting for news on their pet. It's so thoughtful!

I've taken my dog here since she was a puppy and everything was fine and well. My dog is now 11 and was diagnosed with diabetes when we checked her in and it was rough. They asked for her to come in again for a glucose curve which would be a whole day thing. The vets said that she was fine on her dosage at the time but I noticed her systems were getting worse so I took her in again and that was when it started going down hill. They left her insulin outside which resulted in it having to be thrown away and they gave us a new one but they also said her dosage was fine again and sent us away. My dog developed cataracts and I've come to the conclusion that they did no tests on her to make sure her diabetes would be regulated. I took her to a different vet and found out her diabetes was completely unregulated even though the vets here said she was fine. She is now getting the help she needs else where. There's another time I took her to Irvine valley to get foxtail removed out of her paw and they told me I should get her surgery to see if there is more in her paw but I refused because I didn't want my dog to go through surgery just to see if there was something and to find out there was nothing. They basically put me on hold for 3 hours to reconsider until I made it clear I did not want to. My dog was just at the vet stressed waiting for me because they wanted me to change my mind.

Cremation services for both my pets were handled with both compassion and care. They answered all questions with so much patience and truly make you feel like they care and love their jobs. Thank you.

Thank you Irvine Valley Vet! I took my senior dog for what I thought was a minor issue and it turned out to be major, and she had to be put down that day. It was devastating, but the process was made so much easier by the warmth and competency of every staff member I interacted with. All the little human touches - tea, coffee, water, snacks, the blanket they gave me - really helped the process. Thank you especially to Dr. Manoukian and Dr. Babula, who were not only super competent, but also super compassionate.

DO NOT GO HERE if your pet’s condition can wait until you can take them to your primary local vet. I brought my puppy here because he seemed a bit lethargic and had runny stool. They tried to charge me $3k+ for a “24 hr hospitalization” and when I questioned their diagnosis and treatment recommendation (as all pet parents have the right to do) Dr. Kelly gave me a condescending look and cuts me off to say my dog is “very sick and not a normal dog” as if my dog had terminal cancer and I was refusing treatment.

I love my pets and would do anything to help them get better but I refuse to be gaslit into dropping that much for some IV drip and “miscellaneous injections” as they wrote on my treatment plan. I was given little information about why he feels the way he does and they immediately jumped into payments for his supposed diagnosis within 5 minutes of his checkup. He’s a puppy and a change of environment can cause these symptoms due to stress and fear…

Of course, when I took him to get a second opinion they gave me an entirely different diagnosis and an IV drip that took 15 minutes and he’s fine now.

Overall, no vet who is supposed to love animals should get defensive at their owners for being extra careful about what they put their pets through, nor should they ASSUME that I just didn’t want to pay for it. The moment I said that I wanted some clarity on the treatment plan she said, “I assume this is for financial reasons. ” Every employees attitude completely shifted as soon as I rejected their treatment. Seriously rubbed me the wrong way.

Unless it is a life or death situation where you have nowhere else to turn, do not waste your time here.

Thank you so much for taking care of my cat today. She's usually terrified of anyone other than immediate family but she did great today! Your whole staff from the moment I arrived to the time I left made everything so comfortable and easy for us. You're truly amazing.

Our beloved sweet snow angel passed away last Sunday evening. Even with 2 mammary gland surgeries it still spread. She was a true warrior from the time she came to our door with someone put a human belt around her neck and she lost her voice and we kept taking care of her and she was very skittish. She had her babies and her one baby got ran over and then her son had a baby that was poisoned and then he gets hurt by someone and passes away. Our sweet snow angel went through so much and still fight to live. We live in an apt and had our maximum cats inside and tried to bring her in and she would not have it. She wanted to stay with her family outside. We got her spayed after she came to us and had babies. But we never knew she had tumors until someone that lives in this complex has a dog that attacked her. That's how we were able to grab her and saw her. Before she passed away she came inside to be with us. We did everything to help her from medicines to natural-pathic remedies. We wanted to cremate her so she can be around her son and grand-daughter ashes inside. If we lived in a house we would had buried them in a small grave for furlings. We were searching for a hospital that was open late at night and found this place. It was almost our Mimi sending us the site. The veterinary we saw was Dr. Katie Woodruff. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was the most compassionate, caring, understanding and patience vet we ever had. She came inside to check Mimi. She talked with us for a long time. She was so caring and empathetic toward us. If there is a angel on earth she would be the one. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Other veterinarians need to learn from her. Sorry for such a long review. This is my first time giving a review. Thank you Dr. Katie Woodruff. We wished you worked regular hours also beside urgent care. We would want you to be our veterinarian for all our Furlings. Thank you again

We brought our 13+ year, 7lb Chihuahua mix, Twiggy, to have her teeth cleaned. All of our concerns were addressed and she did great! We were updated via text throughout the morning. She was able to eat dinner with no hesitation. Their attention to her comfort (warm blankets, laser treatment for inflammation) was much appreciated! Can’t say enough good things.

(cat) (mid-day) (dry-cough)
$140.00 walk in consultation (very expensive)
$540.00 X-ray (very expensive)
$120.00 to sedate for X-ray (most all cats will get this)
total: 800.00 for x-ray
plus whatever they would charge you for meds.
Dont pay these prices you are being taken advantage of.
I'm sorry I cannot recommend this vet for price gouging of simple diagnostics.
