Came here on a Thursday and got seated quickly within an hour before closing. There was construction so it was a bit hard to find. Favorite broth was the tonkotsu. Was surprised it was vegetarian but creamy. The meats were also good with generous portions. Really friendly service.

Racist. An Asian family said we were dirty and asked to have plastic barrier with my south Asian family and I.

See the lack of barrier next to the white people.

I don't understand the high ratings of this place. This is by far the most ridiculously overpriced restaurant I've ever been to. We went there for my goddaughter's birthday. Four of us ordered 4 hotpots, 2 or 3 appetizers and 4 drinks, the bill came out to almost 400! And I was not even full! The quality of the meat was just so-so, let's just say that there're tons of shabu/hopot places better than this with way more reasonable pricing. Service was ok. Place was crowded during busy hours. Again, the whole dining experience was a huge huge letdown. Won't go again.

I love the Shubu shabu restaurant! I highly recommend the Japanese A5 Wagyu beef and the US Kobe signature cut.

This is not Japanese Shabu Shabu, but it is Chinese hot pot being marketed as "Japanese. "

One of the best (remaining) shabu places in South Bay. We love coming here for the intimate atmosphere, great service, fresh veggies and meats. Overall this is a good place to do shabu-style meal. A little pricey, then again shabu is almost always pricey. The more bargain shabu-style joints around here went under during Covid. Warning, as there can be a long wait to get seated here during busy times.

In short - the food's great and thankfully this is one of the few Shabu places in the South Bay that was able to stay afloat during the pandemic; however, the service has been lackluster for our last several visits, particularly this evening. The quick & dirty is that we were waiting for our server to return after their first & only stop at our table: first most of us ran out of rice, then peanut sauce, then waters, then beers, and finally one of our group had dropped a chopstick on the floor and needed a replacement pair - no amount of signaling could flag any server. Finally, one of us had to go up to the bar/server area and wave down a server before we could get any additional service. Go to this place for decent Shabu, but keep your expectations low when it comes to the service.

Had an amazing dining experience at ishabu shabu. Ordered premium Japanese A5 wagyu beef and a number of premium cuts. I’d go back in a heartbeat when in the area.
