Islands Restaurant Riverside reviews
16So there was an issue today, we went out for an early dinner before hitting the nearby movie theater, we noticed that it was taken a while for my food.but then the manager, Allison came up and told us there had been some mixup, and somehow our order was not put in.she went above and beyond! It was getting close to the start time of the movie, they got our food out to us, She comped our food and was so apologetic. We come here often, but seeing them come together as a team to get us fed, boxed up, and off to our movies was admirable.
Pretty standard. Food is always good and staff is very nice. Good onion rings. I always get the Hawaiian burger. The best one there in my opinion.
They've changed a lot since covid, smaller portions mainly, barely get any french fries, the yaki taco's don't even come with beans anymore, not worth it now.
Service was lacking. Under our small table was a lot of food, napkins and other trash. I noticed when I dropped my hand sanitizer. How can burgers be messed up? It's ok. I won't be back.
Burger and Chicken sandwich were excellent but the fries were old and dry and unseasoned. No issue other than that or food would have received 5 stars. Server was just “fine” nothing stands out. Atmosphere about what one would expect in a casual dining experience. Nice that there’s no additional charge for gluten free or lettuce wrapping the burgers.
If you are looking for a burger with a twist you should take a look. They have some variations on an old classic. Place is clean staff has always been friendly. Tuna sandwich is very good.
This place was pretty good. I got the Hawaiian burger and it was big and juicy and messy, which equals a great burger! Their fries were also good and you get a lot of them! The restaurant itself was kind of interesting because it was pretty dark with the lack of lights. But we were also just in our own corner booth what some lighting above the table so it wasn’t too bad. Our waitress was just okay, she came off as very quick and robotic and like she just wanted to get us in and out as fast as she could. The person that brought our food was much more friendly and talkative, I wish she was our waitress.
Islands is always delicious! So many choices from burgers to salads to chicken sandwiches. The decor is lovely and service is always great!
Islands is a good reliable place to eat. The food quality is consistently great. Good cocktails and good service.
We came in today, my wife and I on Juneteenth for lunch. We had the lunch special.she had the double cheese burger with the fries and I had the double cheese burger with a salad. Both orders were made to order.
The fries here are really good, nice and crisp.
The salad was nice and fresh but the star of the show was the blue cheese dressing!
Big chunks of blue cheese. Awesome
Our waitress Erica was polite and very good at her job. This island theme restaurant
was worth the trip.
I highly recommend
.
Good place for a cold beer. Food is decent. Service is hit and miss. I think all the burgers essentially taste the same, despite the different toppings. Salads are pretty good though.
Ive eaten at Islands many times but its was disappointing this time. The seasoned french fries were so salty they burned my tongue. I asked for them to be replaced and the next batch was the same. The music was so loud we could not talk at all. We had to leave and go to another restaurant after to visit.
It was a great Mother's Day lunch. Our server was very attentive. Would highly recommend.
I ordered the Baja grilled chicken tacos, and they were very good. The green taco sauce was too spicy for me so the waitress brought me red taco sauce and it was perfect.
The food overall is good. The atmosphere is a little loud but to be expected and our server wasnice.
Food: Before the main food, we ordered chips and salsa. While at a lot of places the chips and salsa are free, not here. They cost, at the tike of my visit, $5.19. I felt that was a bit too high. Anyway, the Hawaiian burger was really good. It was thick and full of flavors that made my taste buds happy. When I cut it in half, the visual of my burger was mouth watering. YOU GOTTA SEE THE PICTURES! To the left side, I had my fries with ketchup. To the right side, I had my good'ol Coors Light. Oh, my taste buds want more right now. My wife ordered the Moa Crisp Sandwich and a strawberry lemonade. I tried some of that, and it was also tasty. The strawberry lemonade was on point! So good! So refreshing!
Service: The services good. We were checked on a few times. The waitress was nice.
Atmosphere: The atmosphere was great. The decor around the restaurant was cool to look at and admire. The tables were of quality. The amount of natural light was perfect.
I would recommend this place for a burger, especially the Hawaiian burger.
