ITH Surf City Hostel Hermosa Beach

This place is way better than what I expected. Price is low which may make you think it’s not so clean, but it’s super clean.

Excellent place to stay if your ona budget and you like to meet new people.
A LOT OF ITALIANS AND UKRAIANS AND NEW YORKER here. Was fun because of the diversity -felt like a mini Queens Neighborhood on the low low-. IF YOU SMOKE MENTHOL keep in mind California don't have any, bring your own.

You can't beat the location and the price. I've stayed here multiple times and love it.

Its really clean and people are very respectable.we had our own private room.great kitchen for cooking make sure you do your dishes when your done with cooking your meals:)

A hostel a few meters from the beach. It includes a breakfast with pancakes, eggs, banana, toast, peanut butter. Coffee.the people who work there are very kind and gentle, the place is very clean, price quality 10/10

Loved the hostel. It is a great place to stay by the beach and I loved the free breakfast. It was an awesome experience and I will stay here again. The room was nice and very clean.

This location is unbeatable. You're right by and overlooking the pier, and all of the local attractions are on the same block. I'd definitely recommend this hostel for solo travel, there's a lot of cool people from all over and the staff treat you like family.

Wanted to extend my thanks to the fine folks that run this establishment. The room was enough to suit my needs, and the kicker was getting to feel that cool summer South Bay airflow at night for the first time in 35 years. Thank you so much.

It's the best hostel I've ever stayed in. The kitchen is small; in the morning you can make your own pancakes. There is a lounge with tea that is open all day & during the night. The location is unparalleled for its right on the beach.

Great service. Did not notice it was a hostel when booking. Super nice staff and had a great roommate.

I'm so happy I decided to stay here. My friend had stayed there in the past so I felt safe with this choice. And it's situated in one of my favorite places in LA so I was happy to go.

The whole experience was amazing.

Breakfast is included (continental and pancake mix) and the volunteers organize activities every night which makes the hostel very social and a fun place to be (go to BBQ night on Saturdays for burgers and hot dogs!)

The volunteers are so friendly and you'll make great friends whether it's with them or other guests.

The bathrooms are super clean as well as the restrooms, and you'll be provided with linens and towels. And the beds are comfortable!

A massive thank you to Sophie and Carey for making my stay an amazing one. They are always ready to help you and are fun people to talk and hang with. Truly the best! Cannot wait to come back!

Trailblazing hostel for sure. Beach and waves right there and great jazz at the bar downstairs. Work crew and staff are great. As good as any hostel I know around here and elsewhere

I loved staying there, the location is incredible. The people are very friendly and the volunteers and managers are always willing and decisive. They have proposals every night, hamburger Saturdays, etc. Highly recommended.

If you need to stay close to the beach and the heart of Hermosa Beach, you are at the right place. The only thing you have to take into consideration is the noise of the bars and restaurants close by. So have your ear plugs, your headphones ready or wait it out. Rooms are good maintained and the stuff is super friendly. Just don't expect anything super fancy, it's as good as a hostel you remember from your youth's can be. Also parking is not that easy and public transit doesn't come as often as your like.

Its very loud at nught, hard to fall asleep. It‘s messy and the Staff look like they would live there and they are very slow.
But yiu are right at the beach which is cool!

The place is not bad for the price & hostel accommodation. Excellent location, everything near except for parking!

Wynz is the man! Such a nice guy and willing to help out after he was off shift. This is what customer service is and I greatly appreciate this guy reflecting this business. 10/10
