11Dj wisdom (Winston) fabulously played old school hip hop and mixed scratched like a true turntable god
Quite possibly my favorite music venue. I've been going to shows for 40 years and, for the last 30 years, I've been in just about every venue in the Bay Area to see bands and AS the band. As an audience member, and as a musician, the sound quality is never what it could be. Sometimes it's the shape of the room, sometimes it's the equipment, most of the time it's the person running the board. The Ivy room has GREAT SOUND. Luck? Talent? Engineering? Who cares why? It is the only place that hasn't made me want to commandeer control of the board. How do they do it? It remains a mystery that I don't need to solve. Hardcore, metal, country, R&B (I've only seen loud bands there) my money says any band is going to sound great at The Ivy Room.
Nice venue, though the seating situation leaves a little to be desired. Nice they survived the last couple of years. They do bring in a nice and varied list of entertainers.
Plus, Their drinks are fairly priced and poured even better.

It's not 24 hours. How someone fixed that. Life music every weekend including Fri and done week days. Friendliest staff.
Came for a show with a friend last week. Got there early to set up. Everyone on staff was so nice! Bartenders were so sweet and funny and the bouncer was so nice! It was too loud and I went outside and it was cold and he let me wear his jacket
Great local bar and music venue. Been there only for one show but loved it. Lots of local musicians play there.
Went to the ivy room for the first time last night to support my husband's band Saponification and I loved the vibe of the place, the staff was friendly and fun, I'm definitely going there again and their merch looked sick! Totally purchasing some next time!

One of the best smaller rooms for live music. Bartender is charming and friendly.
My two drinks were a bit odd with the addition of hibiscus.
Clean bathrooms and the entire place shows a spic and span attitude
Had lots of fun checking out the Bandworks performances. Great drinks and chill ambiance! Poison Ivy cocktail was my favorite!
Great place to listen to music and boogie on down. Photo booth and I'm hoping they fix the pinball.
