Japanese Restaurant Izanami reviews
17Service was subpar. Food was just okay. I got the tonkatsu ramen, and It was very bland. I wanted some hot sauce but couldn't get anyone to come over. They did seem to have a regular who was there and they spent the most of the time with them. I get we need to take care of our regulars but not at the expense of a new customer. A little chili sauce that he had on his table would have probably made my ramen a hundred times better.
Amazing. Visiting from Colorado. The service was great. Had the best sushi ever! Fresh and delicious. Nothing like we’ve ever had. Lion king roll, SF giant roll. Spicy blue fin that was actually spicy! So good. Flame on! Definitely the coolest roll I’ve ever had
My office orders Izanami on a weekly basis and they NEVER disappoint! My coworkers often order sashimi and the quality is obvious, especially compared to other sushi places we've tried to order from. I regret ever straying from Izanami. ;) Also, they make sure to package hot/fried rolls separate from cold rolls - super important! Quality ingredients, fast delivery, friendly people, and a big menu make for a great experience week after week. Thank you!
Genuinely one of the best restaurants I've been to. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the menu was unique and interesting. Never thought I'd love eating chicken hearts! The staff was also very helpful and kind. Hope I can come back soon!
I love this restaurant! They prepare excellent dishes, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that place is a professional, I enjoy a lot eating all their dishes. The dishes are always fresh and tasty, the attitude towards the guests is agreeable. I visit often this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. Highly recommended.
Very delicious food offers in here! They also have different selection of their food and drinks at a lower price. So amazing!
The food here is amazing. The owner and the staff are so polite and very friendly. Great restaurant.
Doordashed this place because I saw good reviews but it was good food until I found a fruit fly in my rice. Ended up throwing away dissapointed since its the first time ordering from them. Sorry first impression wasn't the best.
This place is the one I like best. I eat in a lot of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The crew is very chummy and the cuisine they offer is so delicious. I would always prefer to have a nice meal here. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, welcoming employees, regularly excellent vibes. They charge fair rates and the food quality is great. 5 stars.
I always come by buying some food in here. I like the efficient customer service and well prepared dishes. They never disappoint.
Pretty good prices, gives about the same amount of food as other Japanese restaurants, good was tasty
The server rushed my order and I didn't have time to look at the menu for more than a minute. It has only been 20 minutes since I ordered and now I have the bill. The food itself was okay, but the service made it horrible for me. I don't know what reason you can't give a customer more than a minute to read the menu before ordering.
Really tasty. Chefs, staff and service was great. I had a (mostly) yellow tail roll w/ ponzu, very tasty king salmon and bowl of miso. Ive not been in So SF a lot but I liked this restaurant.
Get the special.
If you call it the house special it needs to be better than good.
The lobster just melted in my mouth.
5 stars, no joke!
We had a superb experience in this spot. We liked the first-rate ambience and the meals. The waiters were very personal. I am happy we ultimately decided to visit here.
I only had a mediocre experience. I stumbled into it because the restaurant name had ‘ramen’, and there was a good review on the spicy one.
I ordered the classic Tonkotsu, but was thoroughly disappointed. I’m astounded how inconsistent it can be - compared to other’s review. My bowl taste like it was pre-made. The ramen were clumpy, soft boiled egg cooked too long and the pork was tough and didn’t have flavor. In fact, the waiter said my ramen will be out a lot sooner than my grilled mackerel. Good on the wait staff for knowing the timing, bad on the kitchen staff for pre-making the ramen.
The decor felt like it was repurposed from a former Middle Eastern restaurant.
The price point reflected what I got in value.
