Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Redding CA

I would not recommend filing through Jackson hewitt in redding. Jackson Hewitt in Redding has trainees that are learning how to file your taxes on the job. The Manager Judy was inexperianced and did not know how to file K1s and made mistakes on my wife and our joint return. Their mistakes resulted in incorrect information on our returns and resulted in a 3 month hold on our return. We payed quite a bit of money to have help if there were issues with our return and when we called and asked for her to review she never called us back. Still to this day I am not able to get a callback from her. Unacceptable.

The staff was great but miss Judy was the greatest. She was so kind and patient that I definitely will be going back next year. The energy with the staff we met was so high it was contagious. Judy your the best.

The quick work and smart questions from the staff make tax nightmares fade away. They have more than enough stuff for my son to be happily occupied while I had gotten everything done, they're really friendly and helpful and informative with all of the options so there's no hidden charges or surprises. 5 Stars!

I've had associates from Jackson Hewitt handle my taxes for the past four years and I keep coming back because they get me a decent refund and treat me good. They are really a getter done type of business and I'd recommend them to everyone who is looking for friendly and professional.

Judy and other staff were very kind and helpful to me, considering I know almost nothing about taxes. I was very grateful to have come here, it was quick and easy.

Disappointed with service this year. I was told that the price of filing was in the $500 range. When I left the office and reviewed my paperwork, to my surprise I was actually charged nearly $700. I feel that is fraudulent and sneaky. I have been reading the Jackson Hewitt Facebook forums and a lot of people were told the refund advances will be taken out of the federal returns NOT state returns. I was told the same thing and that is untrue. Refund advances are in fact being taken out of state returns. I No longer feel I can trust Jackson Hewitt to do my returns and they sneak hidden fees in and are dishonest about the costs of filing. Reading the forums, a lot of people will not be returning to Jackson Hewitt next year, including myself.

Very expensive, unbelievably expensive. Over 700.00 to do my taxes, I usually do for free.

Jackson Hewitt is a wonderful place to get your taxes done always super friendly and accommodating…just that works in there is always my favorite to go to!

I had my taxes done and there was an issue and I have waited 3 days for my refund advance and ever time I call and try to get help the girl mel who answer's the phone is super rude and very unprofessional she would not let me talk to a supervisor or manager or my tax pro and she just hangs up the phone on me. I would not send anyone there.

I recommend Jackson Hewitt they're very helpful very friendly I have been going to them for years.

No stars. This place completely messed up a whole column on taxes and said refund of over 5000.00 got a letter from IRS about 10 weeks later and said they needed to correct. They did. Ended up oweing 4400.00 plus interest. Paid for a service and they say we didn't pay for the insurance so they are not responsible. Well they got another thing coming!
