Very relaxing and peaceful, beautiful gardens. Great spot to take pictures but it can get crowded especially at the bridge.

Check out the tea shop and cafe

Wonderful spot to zen within city limits, preferably without the tourists or overcrowded freebie days. If you’re a SF resident discounted entry so take advantage! Garden is small but well maintained and of course with the historic Buddha as the center point. The tea room offers authentic high-grade Japanese tea, I suggest the cookies platter with it!

Pretty, but rather kitsch. Absolutely slammed with people. I also really can't recommend the actual tea shop in the middle.

Yes yes I know what was I expecting in an obvious tourist trap? Maybe for the tea to be more than hot water poured into the same exhausted leaves and barely given enough time to swish about before having to be served to the next customer. Literally paid $4 for hot water.

Place is beautiful well kept and perfect for picture also very peaceful perfect to just go and relax, read a book. Place is small we walked it in less then 20 min, entrance was only 10 per person so not bad. After your done with this garden you can Walk across the street for more pictures and things to do.

Wonderful and beautiful place to visit while you're in San Francisco. Although the Tea Garden is small and costs $10 per adults it is a very scenic and beautiful area. It also has a gift shop and a place that sells tea and food.

Serene and Beautiful! Wish the main pagoda was open though, it's undergoing a renovation. The place is not very stroller friendly and has a few steps.

It was wonderful! Never been to Japan before but it made me feel almost as if I was in Japan. Loved the scenery and the cozy environment! Definitely worth coming!

Beautifully kept garden! It's great for taking pictures, contemplating, and slowing down the hustle and bustle of normal life.

Lovely tea gardens, but the tea house is over-priced and rude as could be.after three attempts to contact them via email (still waiting for a reply Carol) i decided to visit in person to inquire about a traditional tea ceremony.i was almost yelled at when i asked and waived off like "f-you for even asking"

The place was busy, but not that busy to warrent such rudeness.and what the heck about Carol not returning emails.

Beautiful place! The fish were friendly and I petted one, it was slimy though. Definitely a nice place for a walk about!

My first visit here. I really like the Japanese gardens. There is an entry fee to visit the garden, also there is a discount for SF Residents. This is a great place to take pictures. Even though garden is not very big, it is worthwhile visiting to enjoy the garden and take pictures. Highly recommend this place.
There is a small tea shop and restaurant in the garden and a gift shop.

A gorgeous garden for a relaxing break from the rush of everyday life. You can also order some tea and enjoy a beautiful pond with small rushing waterfalls.

We visited the garden in October and it was not as impressive as I had hoped. Still a very special place. Large Pagoda was being renovated so unable to view it.
