Javier's Restaurant - Irvine

Celebrated my father's 87 birthday. Good atmosphere. Our server was average. The food was ok. Carnitas and steak tabla was the best. Chicken tabla was unflavorful and dry.the cocktails were good. Not a memorable experience but an ok one.

Wow yummy food!

Started of with complementary chips and salsa and it was delicious. The salsa was spicy but good. Also we got drinks and they were good. I got the Pina colada.

Also we got the la tablita. Definitely could feed 4 people. We got steak and chicken. The steak was so good!

1st time - wonderful experience. The chips and salsa along with the guacamole were yummy. The roasted ingredients of the salsa quemada are the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant that serves chips & salsa. I couldn’t stop eating it. Sooo delicious. The entire staff is extremely attentive from beginning to end. The precious Tropical decor makes you feel as if you were in a beach’s getaway, maybe Tulum. So sexy, romantic, happy vibes and relaxing atmosphere at the same time. Great for a family as well as a date. The Pescado a la Veracruzana - Chilean Sea Bass was amazingly great. My tres leches cake was perfection. I’d love to come back soon and try other plates. Totally recommend this awesome Mexican Restaurant. Javier's is a bit pricey, but their food and drinks are delicious. They have the best servers, staff and bartenders at the Irvine Spectrum

Great atmosphere, loud music but drinks are good. Great spot for perhaps a 2nd or 3rd date.

However if you’re here for the Mexican food, you’re in for some disappointment. The price does NOT match the quality. We had a close to $700 bill and holy sh*t the food was so bland, it made me sad.

Aside from the guacamole, which also had zero flavor or zest, the food tasted like it came out of a can. Bean, zero flavor. Rice, zero flavor. Mole, zero flavor.didn’t even finish it and didn’t even wanna take it with me it was so flavorless. This place is essentially very upscale Chilis in terms of flavor. This legitimately was a major upset as again, the price did not reflect the quality of the food.

Would I go back for drinks? Probably.
Food? Not a chance.

I will say I did not have the Mariscos or steaks but judging on how flavorless everything else was, I won’t hold my breath.

Friends, this is corporate Mexican food, not real Mexican food. This place is waaaaay over rated. Cost value ratio is off the chart. Classic orange county rip off. Do not waste your time/money.

Worth the drive. Had The skirt steak and it was done perfect. Just like I like, juicy. Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Waiter made sure our water glasses were full at all time. We Shall return

Overpriced. The vegan enchelada was stuffed with frozen veggies. Not great. Even if this was a low (er) priced fast food place I wouldn't recommend.

I am repeat customer of this place. Every time i am in Irvine, this place always exceeds the service, atmosphere, food and just in general. I highly recommend this place.

We went for dinner and the waitress who helped us was kind, courteous, and acted professional. The restaurant's ambience is inviting and fun to be in especially if you're sitting in the bar area. We enjoyed the drinks, food, and dessert. Try the restaurant for yourself and see how you like it.

The food was amazing and the waitsraff were great. It was loud as hell though with the music and it was very dark. Not my favorite kind of ambience.

This is my most favorite place to eat and drink. The best guacamole I have ever had.

Food was delicious, waited a little longer since we ordered steak, which is understandable. Desserts were delicious as well.

It was a nice experience overall. Food was good, and the waiters were very patient. The bartender was wonderful. My only complaint would be the hostees. Better communication with guests and stop standing around talking

Beautiful place, and honestly the chips and salsa were great to start. I had the shrimp and steak and while the steak could have been a little better, the food was great! The servings look small but omg it fills you up. The price is higher than most places but it’s pretty lovely to visit when you have a little extra and the ambience of the location is quite lovely. Good dinner date option!

We were there for my daughter's birthday last week, the waiter was really professional and we appreciated of him but main course was NOT good, we ordered La Tablita and we expected to eat delicious meal but steak was so dry chicken was tasteless and overall it was really unsatisfying with high price.
It was our first time to Irvine location and I expected to get high quality food.we had a lot left over and we took it home but unfortunately I throw away all. I feel bad for wasting food and money.

Miguelon was an amazing server! He made me and my best friends time amazing, he catered to our needs by explaining the menu thoroughly, always checked in on us, made sure our food was perfect and was genuinely nice and chatted with us for a bit. I loved the food and if you go to Javiers irvine, ask for Miguelon as your server!

I've been here at least 50 times in my life, started at the Laguna beach location. Never once did I have a bad experience. Even typing this, thinking about the food, is making my mouth water. Food, drinks, service, ambiance, everything is fantastic. So just wanted to say THANK YOU.
