Javier's Restaurant - Newport Beach reviews
16Food is bland. The atmosphere is obviously very nice. They could learn to use some seasoning in their food if they're gonna charge $36 for two tacos. The wait staff were super nice. Parking is valet only.
Javier will murder your taste buds in the best way. The people operating this place were so efficient too - we love when food gets served pronto in the most elegant way and tastes out of this world. Noise level is a bit high because this place is poppin off all the time but I swear it’s worth it otherwise. 100/10
Treated my 2 friends for their birthday here last week we really had an amazing time. Food was great, great customer service, and a beautiful atmosphere. Nothing but good vibes. Thank you for a great time.
"I had the pleasure of dining at Javier's Restaurant, and I must say, it was a culinary experience beyond compare. From the first bite to the last, I was transported to a world of exquisite flavors and culinary artistry.
The menu at Javier's is a testament to the finest in Mexican cuisine. I started with their guacamole, freshly prepared tableside, and it was a revelation. Creamy avocados, the perfect balance of spices, and warm, handmade tortilla chips made for an addictive combination.
For my main course, I had the privilege of trying their signature dish, the Carne Asada. The succulent, perfectly grilled beef was a masterpiece in itself. It was served with a medley of grilled vegetables and a side of rich, smoky salsa. The tenderness of the meat and the explosion of flavors left me speechless.
The seafood options were equally impressive. The Ceviche was a refreshing blend of fresh seafood marinated in citrus juices, bursting with zesty and tangy notes. It was the perfect appetizer to awaken the taste buds.
The attention to detail in each dish was evident, and the presentation was impeccable. Every plate was a work of art.
The drink menu was just as impressive. The margaritas were expertly crafted and paired wonderfully with the dishes. Their extensive tequila selection is a testament to the authenticity of the Mexican experience.
The service at Javier's was top-notch. The staff was not only courteous but also well-versed in the menu, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring that my dining experience was flawless.
In summary, Javier's Restaurant is a haven for food enthusiasts. It's a place where passion for Mexican cuisine shines through in every dish. Whether you're a fan of traditional Mexican flavors or seeking a gastronomic adventure, Javier's will exceed your expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend it for an unforgettable dining experience. "
Very nice place very friendly staff
Only the food is not good, it has poor quality and bad taste.
Javier’s was amazing, the place is absolutely gorgeous, the food is delicious and mind blowing.and the service, the service was exceptional I have not complains about it but gratitude!
The food was really good, service as well. Friendly staff trying their best to host their guests. The margaritas are superb, one of the best I've ever had. It's just a bit too crowded and noisy since it's very popular. It's not a cheap place though.
Kevin was amazing. He treated us so nicely & made our night. We had the best time ever. We are definitely coming back & highly recommend this resturant
Horrible ripoff place, the place is hangout for night life girls, dirty smelly packed with all kind of cheap women's looking for free drink or free dinner, if you are Respected family man don't bring your wife to such place.
The food and service was fantastic. Always recommend ending the dinner with their churrros.
Incredible food only surpassed by the exceptional staff and incredible atmosphere. The food was very delicious, fresh, and the presentation was perfect.
Javiers Newport is as incredible of a culinary experience as you can find. Not to mention the backdrop is Pacific Ocean. Their flavors are consistent as are the quality ingredients, portions, and exceptional attention to detail.
This place has gone downhill! Today I had a server get in MY FACE and told me “how dare you” because I killed a bee that almost stung me and was all over the food we were eating. I have NEVER had a waiter confront a paying customer for killing bugs that THEY should be taking care of. I do not want bugs all over my food and I for sure don’t want to be stung by a bee during lunch. Absolutely disgraceful customer service.
Ok. This review will do nothing to effect the popularity of this place…. So here goes. Atmosphere, people watching, luxury car gazing is the attraction of this place. However, the food and “robotic” type service is diner-type quality. If you want good Mexican food, go elsewhere.
For such a highly recommended place I wish I had a better time. Made a reservation but upon arrival got shoved to the side by host and didn't actually get seated until we asked if a table was available soon.a half hour after we arrived. The moment you get inside you get hit by an almost palpable wall of sound, which ultimately gave me a headache by the end of the meal. Hope your lip reading game is on point. We ate the bland and tasteless food as fast as humanly possible just to get out of there sooner - not hard since portions are miniscule. This is also the first time I've ever had "ceviche" that didn't taste like lime.not sure what we got, but pretty sure it wasn't actually ceviche. I ended up unable to finish most of my plate so my actual meal tonight was a grocery store sandwich because at least that was filling and I knew what I was getting. Margaritas were generous and our actual waiter was as friendly as can be are about the only positive things I can say.
Amazing people staff and atmosphere! You just have to go and experience with family and or friends! You will not be disappointed!
Food was cold. Service took forever. They didn’t want seat us where we asked. Sever had an attitude & felt like he was racist towards black people. Other party also complained about him.
