Javi's Taco Shack reviews
18Let be honest. There are far better taco places. None of which is on main Street. Don't get me started on the prices. Most of them places cater to Caucasian taste. A place you have no other choice but to go to. If you work down town. Portion and price is for the whites.
Based solely on their Asada Fries.
Disappointing. But here are the positives. Big portion size, especially for the decent price. The fries were cooked well. Their salsa bar saved these fries from getting a 1 star.
Negatives. Taste. Nothing tasted seasoned. Not the fries and especially not the asada which had a consistency similar to ground beef. Not nearly enough melty cheese which left everything way too dry.
I'm coming back for their queso pizza thing which looked good. We will see if that can salvage the score.
Edit: tried their queso pizza and it was pretty good. Very skimpy on the cheese for being part quesodilla but decently flavorful. 3 stars seem fair.
Asada burrito garbage and nasty cluster fat meat chunks yuck.this is a bar trying to cook.stay away.
Really good spot has a lot of potential. Not to mention it’s the only cantina in town, but today I went by with my wife and son I placed an order for all three of us. My son and wife’s food came out as part on mine (jalapeño poppers) were left on the counter. The bar tender/waitress walked our table twice without checking on us. My wife finally asked about my food after her and my son were already finished eating just for the waitress to ask “what was the order again” she ran and got the cook who was mingling around with what I assume was family or friends around the bar. HE NEVER MADE MY FOOD! Other then the jalapeño poppers. I canceled my order the waitress told the cook, he walked over to my food that was left on the counter and started to eat it. I kept my composure paid my tab and left.
Seem like everyone who works there is friends or family so sad to say no one will ever be held accountable for poos customers service
Have to eat here every time we go to visalia. Tripas burrito, fish tacos. The salsa is good and spicy
I orders taco salads for pick up absolutely delicious! It has a lot of meat! I will be back here for my dinner soon
I ate and didn't like the place that much but you might. I expected more that's all
Cost Burritos Aren't That Bad. It's 2 Meals For Me. I Can't Eat It All.
I Save The Other Half And Eat It Later. I Usually Call My Order In And It's Always Ready When I Go To Pick It Up. I Love Their Carna Asada Meat. So Tasty. I'll Be Back Soon. Thank You
I love the bar the surface is excellent. The only downside is that they offer wings to go with your beer but they never have the guy to cook them. I always leave with my craving.
Worst customer service in Visalia! My company has used them many times in the past without issue and then they hired a few new staff members and we will never go back. We typically order over $200 worth of food each time and the last 2 times they have been rude, late with orders, multiple missing items and never seem concerned about making it right.
The tripas are very good. My personal favorite are the fish tacos, nothing fancy, just good food.
DJ, Rudy Tunes had the place rocking. The tacos were so good and a nice friendly atmosphere.
Very good food, I recommend to everyone.second time was not as good! I got a week old Tamale that almost broke a tooth.and they refused to add salsa to takeout orders.what kind of Mexican restaurant dosen't add a little salsa to every meal? I'll try a different restaurant next time!
Javi's easily has 5-star tacos and delicious salsa! Fast service, great food, fair prices- what more could you ask for?
We usually drive across town to the Mooney location but this location has really improved since they changed the other side to a little cantina with a jukebox. It's a lot more fun and one of the few places you can go have a great time, EXCELLENT tacos and not feel ripped off. Great value and atmosphere.
Horrible.seriously the worst night to crave Mexican food. THERE WERE CHICKEN BONES IN THE QUESADILLAS! I almost swallowed them! The birria tacos were dry with barely any flavor. Worst, dry, tasteless tamales I've ever had; Vallarta's are WAY better. The cashier didn't want to even answer questions as this was my first time here. I even gave them a small tip because I was grateful to have some Mexican food. But this place was a complete disgrace! I do NOT recommend!
Was not expecting that burn. The red salsa was hot, but delicious. The tacos were also delicious. I ordered asada and carnitas on taco Tuesday. Definitely coming back.
Tasty tortilla chips. Love the$1.25 tacos. Stock up on salsa from the salsa bar. New bar/cantina next door opening soon. They have alot of televisions ready for all sports events. Large selection of drinks and of course great tacos.
