I recently purchased a rare bike in Irvine and had it shipped to my home in Florida. I asked the good folks at Jax’s Bicycle Center.to pack it up for me and ship it. It is a very long, recumbent bike. They are difficult to pack. Clay did a fantastic job! Usually this has to ship in two boxes, but he managed to pack it in one which save me a lot of money. It was beautifully wrapped and arrived with zero damage! Thank you so much for helping me get this bike.

The staff is great and the cost for service exceeded my expectation. They were able to make my son's bike better than it was when we purchased it (from another retailer), and now the bike is quieter and smoother in the shifts. They were able to answer all my questions and were great in keeping me updated on the status of the service. Will definitely be bringing my bikes here for service in the future.

I I had bought a bike a couple years ago when I move to California and I was servicing it at another place to travel 2021 to October 22 in Florida brought the bike. I have moved back to California and I was looking for more of a local bike shop they were great reviews so I took a chance Jax and I’m very picky Steve was the most amazing amazing customer service I had ever received in such a long time keep on the shopper friendly and I know you guys miss her and they are reasonable explain everything in detail I have my bike now and it rides like it’s brand new and I have a fuse this but it seems so brand new Talquin dub everything they did was phenomenal I would definitely continue to be using me for my other bike I would go here in a heartbeat!

Outstanding, above-and-beyond customer service! Where is the 6-star button? My story: in May 22 I bought a new Trek Verve 3 from Jax Irvine. On Dec 30 it broke. Not Jax's fault, but that's where I bought it, so that's where I brought it. They took a photo, and sent it to Trek. Trek guarantees the frame for life, and they responded: today I picked up an entirely NEW Trek Verve 3 - not just a new frame, but a complete and fully functional new bike, supplied by Trek, at no charge for me: not for assembly, not shipping, nada!

And then Jax did the service: they submitted the claim, they took my extra equipment (kickstand, saddlebag, odometer, and water-bottle rack) from the broken bike and mounted it on the new bike, and then fitted the bike for me (seat and handlebar height, etc.). ALL AT NO CHARGE!

Special shout-out to David Hanson, Jax Irvine GM, who shepherded the whole process.

Jax says "We make people happy. " Indeed they do! 18 miles today on my new bike, and I am very happy indeed! Jax (and Trek!) rules!

Was just in the store and was completely ignored, even when I said that I needed a tube still was ignored. So I just walk out.

Sales person is not trained in right way. Sales guy was not so kind. I will never come back that store again.

The guy who helped me (last name Hanson?) was kind and attentive. So is this other gentleman working at the back. While Hanson went to find me my round-fit helmet, he was showing me the E-bikes and going into detail on its functionalities. Overall, an energetic group of passionate experts who are great at what they do!

The staff at this location is extremely knowledgeable and helpful they have a wide array of bicycles electric kids cruisers beach cruisers a lot of accessories from bike racks to headlights things that you need bales and when you're there ask for Austin he's great he works back in the tune-ups and he's very knowledgeable he really helped me out with my issue. Thanks again Austin I really appreciate you.

They fixed my chain once months ago for free. I needed a new inner tube for my tire today. I called at 430 and they said they would get it fixed today, so I walked it there by 515 and was out by 530 and rode it around the neighborhood before going home. They even adjusted my seat to make it more comfortable. Super convenient, wear masks, and great service overall. 10/10.would recommend.

Trying this again as my original review was never posted. Bike was purchased 6/8/22

I will split this review into two parts, sales and delivery. The sales process was good. I knew exactly what I wanted and Jax had it in stock. I worked with Luke who was great. 5 stars for him. The bike was still in the box and had to be built up. Ok no prob I’ll be back in a day or two.

Delivery however left me disappointed. I got the call my bike was ready and headed out to the shop. Upon arrival there was quite a wait to even tell them why I was there. Apparently they were short a couple bodies, so I stood around for about 20 min. While unpleasant, I get it, it’s hard to find good staff these days. Had that been the only issue I would have given 5 stars. What really made my experience not as great as I had hoped was the quality of the assembly and set up. Brake levers went to the bars, the dropper post lever and actuation were awful, one of the grips was loose, I could turn it with very little effort, the rear mech needed tuning as the B gap was way off, the stem bolts were not torqued, there are two way to mount the bottle cage according to the manual, they used one method for the bottom screw and another method for the top giving a very odd angle and the handlebars were rolled so far back it put my wrists at a very strange angle. I’m actually a bit surprised as I did not think you could make a $10k bike feel like it just came off the rack at Walmart. In the end it’s nothing I won’t be able to remedy myself and just reinforces why I always do my own work.

To summarize, sales process was great, delivery was substandard. I would avoid this service dept.if at all possible.

The whole staff was friendly! Luke was very knowledgeable and helpful and insightful. The bike came a day earlier which was amazing. I had trouble fitting the bike in my car and Luke noticed so Luke, a wonderful lady from the store, and another employee came out to help make the bike fit. Thank you guys!

I've been into this Jax several times over the past few months - I bought a Townie 7D e-bike and a tow hitch bike carrier to handle e-bikes, and just came in today to upgrade to a Trek Powerfly4. In between bikes, I have come in numerous times for seat post upgrades, tire changes, and minor service issues, and it doesn't matter who I have spoken to, done test rides with, or asked questions of - every single guy I've talked to has been friendly, authentic, knowledgable, happy to share their info, and motivated to help the customer. The energy of this store is really positive. I am a lifelong biker but a mountain biking novice, and I am happy to have found such a friendly and approachable shop for questions and recommendations on gear and riding.

Store is clean and organized. Everyone is very welcoming and professional, but the person that made the difference for us was Dave. He answered all our questions patiently. He gave us his opinion but also let us decide. We went to many places before that, but Dave’s knowledge, patients, and great customer service made the difference.
