Joulie is a life SAVER! I have been trying to find a stylist in the area because i’ve been driving back to orange county every 6 weeks to get my hair done done i moved here in 2017…

for the last year i’ve tried a ton of stylists. I showed each of them the picture of my hair that i loved and no one seemed to listed.my hair ended up being too dark or too blonde or red.and in the case of the last person i say (3 days ago) my hair was awful in many ways.the ends looked burned and super frizzy (never had that ever before). The roots were super dark (way darker than my original hair) and the highlights started at about 1/2 down from the roots so the dark roots were extra noticeable.also when i pulled my hair back there were no highlights - just dark dark color

i called Jayden Grey 3 days after my appointment and thankfully Joulie answered the phone and said she’d make time for me if i wanted to come in in an hour…i did… she was able to expertly match the color from the photo that i love, put in a few foils around my face and roots so that my hair looked normal and more like my coloring (we will tackle the room color next time). She also was able to cut the frayed ends so that i can at least wait for my next 6 week appointment.my husband and thought i’d have to get 3 inches cut off but she didn’t need to do that…

i was so upset for the last few days and now i can go back out with confidence again… thank you SO much Joulie! Can’t wait to see you next time!

Joulie is an awesome hair colorist and hair stylist! I have short hair, which can be tricky to style well. I continually have strangers compliment me on my color and hair saying that they just LOVE my hair and the style. Absolute A+ quality and professionalism!

HORRIBLE! I have never in my life been treated so horribly by a supposed "professional". Tony cut, colored and put extensions in my hair. I paid over $2000 to have the extensions and was over charged. He claimed to put 210 in my hair and said he did me a "favor" by only charging me for 190. Currently I have 35 extensions in my hair and 57 in a bag? !? Why was I over charge for extensions that don't exist? ! The extensions began coming out within a few days. He never told me to use a wet brush and not to use a ponytail tie, he simply told me the extensions were as strong as my own hair and not to be afraid of them. Tony did admit to myself and my daughter that he was very hung over and extremely shaky the day of my install. I only decided to try extensions because I wanted a hair style that was a bit longer than my natural hair. My hair is thick and wavy never any problems with my natural hair. When Tony saw the damage the extensions had done to my hair he immediately became irritate with me stating I was ruff on my hair and I was pulling them out by wearing my hair in a half up ponytail, which I have worn for years, not to mention he pulled out 3 of them when he brushed my hair. If wearing my hair half up was going to cause damage why didn't he tell me that? I always arrived with my hair in a half up ponytail. Today I had an appointment to put them back in, my hair looks horrible. I scheduled my appointment for 1: 00 3 weeks prior but did ask him a few days earlier if he could get me in at 10: 00. He replied "Hi Babes! Booked solid already" Today at 10: 21 I received a call from Tony asking where I was and I stated my appointment was at 1: 00? He AGAIN became irritate with me stating I had an appt at 10: 00 and he wasn't going to wait! He stated it was gay pride and he had 6 friends in town! I had enough as this was the third Time he belligerently scolded me. I told him he was unprofessional and that my hair was a mess.he then hung up on me! He laughed at my text telling him I was going to charge back the money I paid and over paid. I am a business owner myself, I have never nor would I ever treat my clients like this! He is unprofessional, over charged me, and obviously his clients are not a priority. My hair is a mess/ruined and I will NEVER recommend him to anyone. Do your research not only on the professional you chose but also the type of products they use.

I will never trust this salon. The reviews looked ok. All I wanted was a cut, color and even requested to let the stylists do whatever they wanted. I booked an appointment online and had to wait almost an hour and a half until a worker from a business next door told me they were closed. Waist of time. I will never try that again. Heck Nope!

Tony quite literally SAVED the day. I had gotten a bad (horrible) haircut at a different salon and I came in to see if he could save my hair. I haven’t felt so beautiful and confident in years until I got my hair cut and styled beautifully by him. I left the salon feeling so cute and confident and taken care of! I even set up an appointment to have him highlight my hair for my birthday the same day, that’s how amazing this experience was. I cannot wait to have more appointments with him at this incredible salon! Can’t recommend enough!

Lejen Mae was an awesome stylist. She did a great job cutting and dyeing my difficult, curly hair. The salon itself is also awesome, they serve you rosé and the shampoo station is comfortable enough to sleep on. A+ experience

I love Lejen Mae! She has been amazing with my hair, I have been going to her for a while now. She has been able to successfully fulfill my color needs going from Blonde, to Purple, to Sliver, to back to blonde. The shop is also very clean and chic as well. Highly recommend!

Friend paid 350 for a haircut from a rude man who didn’t listen to what she wanted, and refused to fix his error. No refund and nothing, no apology or help

Jayden Grey is not only a beautiful salon on a fun street in La Jolla, the stylists that work there are all friendly to me when I come in! Tony does my hair and he helps to make it a beautiful shade and I appreciate that he keeps me on track with my appointments! He also is quite entertaining! I love him!

Had such a great experience here! Everyone in the salon is friendly and it’s such a gorgeous and happy place to be. I loved my stylist, Lejen Mae! She’s super sweet and really listens to what you ask for. She made my hair beautiful and healthy and gave great suggestions of how I can better care for it. So thankful I’ve found this place!
