Jazz Cat Restaurant reviews
9Taste and food quality are consistently good. Prompt and courteous service. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth the money as a treat. Wait is long during peak dining hours.
My partner and I have been here 3 times so far. Each and every time we've gone has been a great experience. They have good options for people of the vegetarian kind and even give you a cute cat flag to show the servers you don't want meat options. Service has always been great. If I had to nitpick; last time we were there they didn't have beer on tap. Otherwise, one of the better hot pot places locally.
Great place for hot pot, been going here for years and when I visit. Fresh and always delicious. Lots of Broths to choose from. Fav Taiwan spicy.
Used to love their variety of soup base, meat, and vegetable choices and quantities. Currently, lunch deals are not as good as before. Hoping they will reverse to old menu.
Went here for my 7th year anniversary with my boyfriend and it was so great! Not crowded, food came out quick and was so fresh!
No sauce bar? Come on.
Must order the sauces 1 by 1 from the menu.
Skimping on this is not the right way. People love customizing their own sauces.
Also wouldn't allow outside drinks. This is a shabu restaurant, not a bar.
I don't remember this place being so cheap a few years back.
Got there around 8: 30pm and felt completely rushed by Matt. He was very short with his responses and didn't seem to know anything about tastes on the menu. I wasn't completely satisfied with my meal itself but the worst part was he kept staring at our party, even after we paid! I understand it's later in the day but please don't rush us. It made me and my guest feel very uncomfortable. Usually we have a good experience but this was just awful.
Third time going and its closed on Friday. Just forget about going for lunch. I dont enjoy driving an hour out of my way to find its closed. The added aggravation that a "We are open sign" sitting there only adds to the misery. They have it closed at random hours. Construction on Fullerton/Gale only adds to the problem. Construction blocks all of Fullerton/Gale for the foreseeable future to all traffic. When Jazzcat is open its my favorite shabu restaurant. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Plenty of sauces to pick from. Soup bases are solid. Meats are tender. Portions are good. Fried mushrooms are to die for.
