JC Bruno Restaurant, San Bruno CA

Went here on a Wednesday to be welcomed by JC himself but said they were closed for the night and we could come back Friday and he could take care of us since we were unable to make it into the restaurant that night. We said we'd come back Friday and ask if a reservation was needed. He said there was no need and there would be music too.

Came to the place Friday like we said just to be turned away by an unfriendly lady who said we'd need a reservation. We told her JC said we did not need one and that we talked to him just a couple of days ago. She said no with attitude. Sucks we got dressed, and we went out of our way to eat here just to get turned away. Yet again, we have to find another place to eat while being hungry! She basically shooed us away. Not coming back just to be turned away a 3rd time.

Everything was perfect the food delicious the atmosphere they have live music it was so great I recommend it.

Very nice staff, great wine suggestion, tasty steak & a lovely cheesecake to top it off. Recommended!

An exceptional restaurant where you will discover quality fish and meat dishes that will remind you of good French cuisine at very reasonable prices.

Languini Lobster Pasta was perfectly cooked. A mouthwatering experience that I won't forget!

We absolutely love this restaurant. Bruno tartar is fabulous. Love the beautifully prepared actually rare rib eye steak and lamb shank. Great scallops and lobster tortellini. Excellent butter sauce. Highly recommend the creme Brulee. Oleg is an excellent and attentive server. Marcella and JC are fantastic! JC is the most excellent chef with attention to detail and flavor. I love ALL the butter! Lovely outdoor seating environment. Well endowed portions too! It was our 2nd time here and we will be back again!

Our first visit to JC Bruno was a success. I've seen the restaurants since it opened up and had wanted to go. Last night. We decided for our anniversary to try them out. We were not disappointed. If they are offering the seafood pasta, go for it. I was nervous about it but my husband tried it and it was amazing!

Stunning venue location for private events. The circumstances of my discovering this place were unfortunate as I was there for a post-funeral luncheon for family and friends. The food was catered, to my knowledge, and the restaurant wasn't open yet. The service staff were incredibly respectful and efficient, and the venue itself was stunning. The only negative thing is that due to its proximity to the airport, there were moments when all anyone could hear was a plane taking off overhead. I would strongly consider this place for a private event.

This place is awesome!
Chef JC recipes are exquisite. This is a gem in the Bay Area. Friday nights you get live music and the outdoor is so charming. Has everything you need to have a wonderful evening with family and friends!
I highly recommend it!
