JCPenney, Montclair CA

Definitely understaffed. It's hard to find help or a register that doesn't have long lines. It would be nice if they would open the doors by 10am instead of 11am. It's almost lunchtime!

Very helpful staff. Tried to find some shoes and they spent time searching for me. Good sales on men's clothing. Bought some nice soft colored t shirts and some chino pants for the office.

Well l was a month ago 2021 may. But they have small clothes selection special for kids.and the prices a little high.even the one on special. They give great back when open an account. But for me l do not thing get back soon. Was in montclair mall.ca.

Busy no help go to pay on my JCP credit card declined $242. It never has worked always have to stand there or off to the side Even though still have plenty of credit available have to call number off card everything approved paid $150 On debit card still wouldn't work so ended up paying in full

The cashier here was perhaps the most useless employee I have had the misfortune of running across. In the time I was here, it took her 10 minutes to ring up a man with only 3 towels.

She was then unable to help me complete a transaction and was not unable to help me at all. Stay away from here if you value your time.

Second time I was call to pick-up my on line purchase. Second time that I was given wrong item. The first time I told the sales associate, that that item was not what I ordered and to return it. This second time I was given one of the items that I ordered, although my Email stated that both items had arrived. I was then told that i had to come into the store and reorder second item that i ordered in the first place.

Ok place to shop but you’d be better off at Macys (quality) vs Pennys (Quantity).
an even WORSE place to work, incompetent staff and no respect for hardwork.so dont work here.

I drove from Orange County South to the Montclair Plaza to buy some underclothes, specifically bras. They have NO dressing rooms! I could buy the items and return them within 45 days, but that is an 80 mile round trip. Also there was no one available to help me. I saw only 2 people to help me and 2 cashiers (only) on the entire 2nd floor. The whole store was neat, clean and well stocked, with winter clothes mostly. Just no one to help you and no place to try on (especially bras) the clothes.

Montclair Plaza location. Excellent signage to know where to go for online ordering pick up. Great customer service.

It was ok. I went in to get two items (bras) and nobody knew where they were. They had me going Back n forth An then I was finally told they're upstairs. The escalator
Was broke so I had to ask how to get upstairs? "You'll have to take the elevator and it's in the back". So again I'm going back n forth. Then I went down stairs to check out an the lady told me it was only for returns. Again back to the front.
I got to learn how to shop on the internet!
My kids call me a Boomer.

Pricing on mattresses seem very high versus the competition for similar type items. Had nothing in the size we were looking at. Seems that help was not available during an early afternoon mid week time period.

Went to the one in La Vegas and I saved over $450 I ended up paying $112 only! I came back home and went to the one by my home in California very disappointed they didnt have same deals they had in vegas

Found the recliner we had come in for right away. Service was excellent and couldn't beat the price!

Awful wait I put my stuff down and left came back and only took 1 item of the 5 I was going to buy.

Excellent Customer Service, great sales on back to school buys for children of all ages an on top of that extra savings on the JC Penny app.

They only have 1 cashier, and they dont turn on the air conditioner, it's hot in that store. But good selection for large men, and good coupons.

Store is a mess can't find a store clerk anywhere. I waited 15 minutes for someone to help me was going to buy a new bed but no one too help me so l will buy it else where what happened to pennys?

Always reinventing itself. I was able to look at a sweater I wanted. When the didn't have my size, the cashier ordered it for me and it arrive at my door in 3 days. Wow!
