I had such a great experience with my haircut! Kenzie cut my hair and was so careful, super sweet, really took her time, and asked what I wanted for my hair. Two instructors (Josette and Vessie) were helping her and checking her work. Another student Saniya styled it after and my cut turned out to be exactly what I wanted! I would definitely come back.:)

I am interesting in cosmetology program, and I booked incite tour with Janet, the owner of JD Academy of Salon + Spa. My experience was above and beyond my expectations. Janet greeted me with welcoming environment and detailed explanations. She answered all the questions that I prepared for interview; moreover, I got support and help from Nicky, one of the instructors at JD academy, who kindly show me all rooms for students, and introduced me all present instructors. Milan did a wonderful job. This was my first time at this spa, and it was wonderful. Milan was very confident and helped me with my concerns. If you’re thinking about getting a facial, do yourself a favor and book with Tyler! I’ve never felt so relaxed and seen such a big difference in my skin after getting a facial. She used advanced extraction techniques to clear my skin of the breakouts I’ve been having lately and followed up with a moisturizing skincare routine. She even had helpful tips for how I can improve my daily skincare routine. Go support her!

I absolutely love having my hair done at JD Academy. It is welcoming and operates professionally in every aspect. Students are well trained and have the full support of the Instructors on the floor, as well as the Reception staff.

I had a wonderful balayage done by Lori, she is so knowledgeable and listens to exactly what her clients want and makes sure to give her clients what they want and more. She did an amazing job on my balayage and trim. I love it so much, she turned a bad balayage done by a salon I went to in the past into something beautiful. I would completely recommend her to everyone I know. The academy itself was very clean and well taken care of. Lori is very professional and makes sure you leave happy with what she’s done. I was absolutely blown away this was by far the best salon experience I’ve ever had at the fraction of the price. I’m looking forward to booking with her again!

Mrs. Shirley is an instructor and mentor who fully embodies the true meaning of the words. Not only did I receive the curated curriculum developed by JD, Mrs. Shirley found meaningful, insightful and practical ways to include her years of masterful experience into my personal learning. Her hands-on style of teaching and mentoring helped me define and design my own style, technique and brand that captures the true essence of the Aesthetician I want to continue to become. It is a great honor and privilege to have learned from and to continue to learn from Mrs. Shirley.
