Don't sleep on JDs! We booked JDs rooftop for our wedding after party and it was one of the best decisions of the entire weekend. Justin was so cool, easy going, straightforward, and helpful. You can bring in your own outside food or order pizza from Gibronis downstairs, OR Justin will connect you to a preferred vendor that works JDs all the time. Our guests had a blast and we ended the night downstairs in the bar with the live DJ dancing the night away. Bonus points for the private bouncer Justin provided for our group who helped me put a bandaid on my finger (had a little too much fun.) 10/10 would do it all over again. Can't wait to go again when we visit San Clemente next!

Love the name but these guys couldn’t serve a beer at 7: 05pm, what is a pizza without beer? Went down to pizza port and was glad to get some awesome pizza AND beer

Had the best time ever here! Rented the rooftop for our “welcome drinks/rehearsal dinner” night and then for an after party after our wedding. We couldn’t have had a better time and Justin is awesome to work with, it was so seamless and everyone’s favorite place by the end of the weekend

JD's is the absolute best! We had our wedding after party here and were able to rent out the entire bar for all of our guests. Justin had reached out to me when I initially sent an inquiry and he was so kind, accommodating, and easy to work with. We had the whole place to ourselves and even had a bouncer to make sure all our guests were able to easily get in and enjoy themselves. The best part was that he let us use our own Spotify playlist to play all of our favorite music - he literally had the playlist going as we arrived. JD's also lets you bring in your own food if you want late night snacks, but since they partner with Gibroni's, we had pizza catered - our guests loved it! Thanks so much for everything, Justin!

Been here several Friday and Saturday nights. Very cool venue, nice outdoor area to hang/talk, bar staff is great, and they do have a DJ…

But I hope the owner isn't actually paying for the DJ service. Or maybe the bad music is at the owner’s orders? Either way, the music is rough. I heard the “Cha Cha Slide” and “Wobble” enough times to sprinkle across a dozen Holiday Inn ballroom wedding receptions in Texas.

The best way to describe the music is KIIS-FM circa 2005 and a Bar Mitzvah had a baby. Chalk full of repeating songs and generic top 40 mixes. Stayed for a few hours and it was clear the set list was just on repeat.

Watching some semblance of energy/fun building on the dance floor, only to be crushed by another round of “Cupid Shuffle”- is a huge let down. And the repeated, total exoduses from the dancefloor is visible. How the owners/staff don’t notice that, is a mystery to me. The fact that 4 blacked out girls from a bachelorette party are still dancing, shouldn’t be a measure of success.

I say all this as someone that wishes JD’s success and wishes they would utilize their space to the fullest potential. It is a cool venue and it could hold a real dance scene. But it’s not worth paying a guy to crossfade Lil Jon songs, throw in some “What UP San Clemente? ! ”s, and a few police sirens. Pick a lane. Turn down the lights in the back, make the back room feel like an intentional space, and hire a DJ that has a style. Funk, house, latin, electronic, something.

Keeping people dancing, drinking, having fun can only be good for business.

Great cocktails and a great selection of bourbons, tequilas, and great bartenders. Justin is always great at accommodating events and organizing them! There is also a pizza shop inside if you get hungry. Stop by and ask for Justin.
