5 A lovely open plaza area outside the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion with a small fountain in the middle.
The plaza is very open and lacks greenery and shade meaning it is not the nicest destination to visit on a hot day. I would like to visit in the evening when events are on.
This is a beautiful outdoor space. Made possible by the very generous philanthropy Of Jerry Moss. Ozomatli was insanely good.
A relaxing place to bring family and friends to hang out and catch up. There are out door seating for a nice cup of coffee or tea.
It's really nice. Except the two towering LED screens that are literally flash bright colored lights incessantly, almost entirely without meaning. Totally destroys the atmosphere of the place. I've got mental health conditions, and if my wife weren't in the Opera House, I'd leave immediately for fear of another seizure.
It strains belief that someone thought these screens, and what Clipart they display would add to the atmosphere. It's probably fine during the day, but if you fear seizures, I'd stay away entirely.
Great place for some peaceful sounds from the water features in this Plaza. There's also a great views of grand park and city hall from here.
